We need him
Going out on a limb, and guessing you didn't read the first page at all...Not sure if anyone posted this, but his dad says he'll be choosing between Miami, Penn State, Michigan State and UCLA and enrolling this Friday.

George Brown Jr. Transferring from LSU
Ross Dellenger from the Advocated broke the story this evening that OL George Brown Jr. will be leaving the program.
Brown has a nice list of options to land, deciding between Michigan State, UCLA, Miami and Penn State, according to his father. The split seems mostly amicable, as Brown Jr’s father had nothing but positive things to say about Coach Miles, LSU and the football program.
My best guess is that Brown saw the writing on the wall. Though he took a RS last season, he was clearly behind three other members from his same signing class: Maea Teuhema (returning starter when healthy) Toby Weathersby (presumed starter) and Chidi Okeke (potential starter or key backup). It’s possible he’s also already fallen behind the incoming Donavaughn Campbell and Lloyd Cushenberry, who have both drawn early praise from Les Miles.
It does not appear to be location related, as none of Brown’s choices are particularly close to his hometown of Cincinnati.
This comes just a day after the announcement that Willie Allen would likely be a RS candidate due to a knee injury. Far and away the biggest blow here is to depth, which OL coach Jeff Grimes has worked hard to rebuild since being hired. Brown Jr. may not have been in the mix for essential playing time in 2016, but he almost surely would in 2017. Then again, three of LSU’s top four tackles are Sophomores or RS Freshmen that are already ahead of him and 5-star OT Austin Deculus is on his way next fall.
At any rate, a fresh start is in order for Brown.
This marks 8 different players that have transferred from the program since last season, with only Tyron Johnson and Trent Domingue marking the only potential contributors. Again, the key here is not losing contributors but that essential depth that keeps your program strong when injuries start to mount.
More work for Grimes to do.
Parrotnose is being a total ******** today. First, he horned in on rok's stadium thread with his spam video.
Then, he tries to steal broke's thunder with another lame *** video. Let broke have his fcking juice, Paradiddle.
Get this motherfcker out of my face before I hurt him. Nothing worse than a thunder stealing fvcktooth.
I posted the LSU spring game so posters could see how Brown performed while at LSU. But Common sense is lost on the ignorant such as yourself.
Go Canes
I can see him being buried on the depth chart as the articles mentions and the spring video performance demonstrated, so his transferring makes sense.

He didn't have an OSU offer.im surprised he didnt go to OSU
im surprised he didnt go to OSU

You got me on your side, broke.I Seriously don't understand all the hate I get on this board.
Ok. Do we have any more info on the guy?
He was the 16th ranked Tackle in the Nation and a top 200 player overall, when he came out.
Was he simply not playing over there? Any other info? We badly need OL.
No real news on the guy from what I see.
LSU has never had a problem with line depth. they prob develop Lineman with the best of them. From what I read their tackle situation isn't the best but they really like Maea Teuhema and Toby Weathersby as their tackles.
Even their projected backups get some spin in the media but Brown gets none.
I think he may be getting buried on the depth chart behind the nasties they already have. He got a redshirt and still cant touch the field.... LSU got some hog mollies for sure.
They can share.
Count me in. Even if he can eventually serve as a "mere" swing tackle, we simply need viable players. Our depth is no bueno.

Looking good for Miami I'm hearing

I'm not; 3 of the 5 No. 1s in O$Ucks depth chart are out of state. I laugh at $ucknuts talking about how great Ohio is for players and Ego Meyer brings in out of state talent en masse.
Shall I remind you of the last Cincy OL the 'Canes started:

Saw him totally get manhandled in his "homecoming" game at Cincy last year. Winton Woods? Worse than Moeller, mostly good but not great and the competion level would make Coach Macho's mouth water...
