So far I've spotted at least 1 starting caliber OT and DT in the portal (and the OT was offered by Enos at Arkansas). Both huge positions of need. These studs need to be on Greentree ASAP.

We have 4 DTs for the rotation since Ford is injured. I don't think that's enough. Even when Ford gets back I'd still like to add a 4 star DT who can play immediately, and who has 3 years of eligibility. Could have a Willis type impact his senior year.

thats more in the rotation we had last year, we will be fine in that position.

I don't think you can have enough quality DTs. Still have deadweight at other positions that can be dropped or encouraged to transfer, so no reason not to add a 4 star freshman DT who can play immediately.

I understand what you are saying, but we have 3 freshman DTs coming in and the 85 scholarship number is not a problem, its the initial counters. no sense of sacrificing an IC for a problem that is not of dire nees and can take away the amount of 2020 recruits we bring in.

I agreed with everything up until your last sentence. That wasn't needed. He could very well be Henery Elder as a senior. There's no way to project that without seeing him play.

True. I should have been more clear. LSU knows DTs (also recruited by Bama). The kid is explosive and is a pass rush specialist who plays with excellent leverage. I think he'd be an ideal fit in Manny's defense.

Supposedly transferring due to personal issues (family?) By all accounts, LSU planned on him being a full time starter in 2020, so they didn't run him off. They actually convinced him to withdraw from the portal once before (he went into the portal early Feb, withdrew name, then went back in) . They wanted him on the team. He's a pass rush DT (14 sacks as a HS junior), which is perfect for Manny's aggressive 4-3.
