The fact people will keep arguing about this Indiana team potentially being one of the best CFB teams ever among discussions with other elite champions is hilarious.

They had an excellent season. But they were not even close to an elite team. We were better than them. We literally had a +12 EPA on Offense+Defense in this game. That doesn’t happen against great teams of the century in the title game lol. They had less impactful penalties and gifted 10pts essentially on Special Teams…

They're maybe one of the most overachieving teams ever if anything. But yeah, people saying **** like that are idiots.

Like we had the 1 billion dollar winning power ball ticket, mindlessly put it on the kitchen counter, and spilled coffee on it.

As I've said before, I'm not taking anything away from Indiana, but when you block a punt and you're not even trying and your punter nails a massive kick when, so it appeared, Miami had a perfect trick play set up, you have a horseshoe up your ***, you're not a juggernaut.
Some guy posted on X that Mendozas TD run was one of the greatest runs in CFB history...what?

This is why this, for me, really hurts. I understand all the posts saying this one doesn’t hurt as much knowing we just snuck in the playoffs, Mario has built the program up to compete regularly, etc.

That’s all good and well, but winning playoff games requires some luck, getting hot at the right time, team health, lucky bounces, etc.

This was the year everything was lining up for us. And a couple of terrible plays yesterday means one slipped away, and as we all know, you can never guarantee when that next opportunity will come

I’m sitting here on Miami message boards on this whole flight and Indiana fans beside me are watching Netflix. Case in point why Miami fans deserved this more. This isn’t a live a breath thing with them.
