I was out after the huge blowouts in '12 to be honest. It was sealed last year vs. Virginia Tech and Duke. This guy failed. Next

I just jumped off the golden train I was holding on because I was hoping for continuity but man this loss sucked

i wasnt sold on him before, but i'd say tonight was the night i gave up. gonna bump my post from earlier this week.

I beg to differ a bit.

Golden quit on the team. He set them up to lose for years, and many are just now realizing it.

It's one thing to BS on occasion, but if as much BS flew out his *** as flies out of his mouth, he'd have crapped himself to death four years ago.

Get rid of him now. I'm not getting sucked back in again.

Tonight was the end of the line. I was fooled because we blew out some bad teams and held on to some hope that last year's #7 ranking wasn't just the product of an easy schedule.

nahhh, I just think its funny that you have this amazing desire to pound your chest about the coach so much so that you need to neg someone as if it actually makes you look/feel smarter.... just thought I would call you out on being a ******* sped. Shame on me for thinking that Al may have had it figured out. The guy is a first classuser that needs to be shown the door before the plane hits the runway tonight. Al had the opportunity to finish on a high note. The problem is that he is incapable of such a thing. Al is by far the worst coach ever at UM.
 
I have come to the conclusion that Al has been a plant since the beginning. Nevin's has been paying him to destroy the football program and his plan has worked.......we were ponzi suckers......
 
In college it all starts with recruiting, we should of saw when coop and bridge water bounced. That's how u can tell by the sfla fence, if it's there we will come back. If it's not the next coach gets fired also.

There were certainly mistakes by the players that weren't Goldens fault. Dukes fumble and Flowers false start on 4th and 1 come to mind.

But we just got taken out behind the woodshed by a below average ACC team. Guys were wide open all night. We never adjusted to stop the WR sweep, and when we tried to contain it, they shoved it down our throats in the middle of the field. OL got embarrassed. Duke had no lanes and BK had no time.

All that means he got out coached by a guy about to get canned. That's pitiful.
 
Think the Cane faithful are going to run this guy and his boyfriend out of town. It's going to be so hot for him now that I can't see how in **** he stays even with our clueless admins not having the stones to can him.

Never sold on this guy. He looks good as the face of the program, but he is an empty suit. Maybe he can coach at Princeton or Army, but that's about it.

I'm done with him. I believe in giving anybody the benefit of the doubt. I did so with every coach who preceded him. I remember how much criticism and even hate there was toward almost every coach since and including Jimmy Johnson. And that includes your beloved Butch. He was hated until 2000, maybe even that year. I don't remember. The Grassy people hated him, calling him Botch and Bush. His OC was Choker.

Butch at least did something good at the end, although he didn't stick around to see the fruits of his recruiting in 2001. Now, I don't know who we'd get to replace Golden. If you think we can just go out and hire who we want you're mistaken. I think money would be an issue, I don't think it would happen while the presidency of the school is in transition, and a lot of good coaches might not want this position, despite the attractiveness of south Florida talent and the weather.

Who would want to put up with our fanbase?
 
I will not be renewing my season tickets after 33 years if Al golden is retained. I am officially off this train. I will go to the nebraska game and maybe the clemson game..thats it. When the sports dept calls me to renew, I will tell them exactly why I wil not be.
