Hi!

I’m a long time lurker - first time poster; so be kind!

1. I wholeheartedly agree that we need a new OC but that won’t solve our lowe OL talent situation. That has been most damaging IMO.

2. It’s time for the spread at UM. We have the speed and ability to pull it off in a devastating manner. Especially with someone like Perry who will be much better next year.

3. I believe in Perry. I think he will be a difference maker next year - he needs more reps and confidence. And of course, a better system to take advantage of his talents - the spread.

4. There was a post here about JT maybe wanting to come back. I dont want him back. He might have all works ability but that kid has had issues since HS and has been a real cancer for our squad. It’s not worth the headache. I just don’t see him coming back under any situation. That’s done. We can find someone similar in SoFla every other year.

5. Hopefully we can survive another off season with Manny as DC - I think he’s sensational and a potential replacement for Richt down the line.

6. Talk about Richt - he was not the dream hire I was hoping for but works for the time being if he is willing to make the necessary changes. He has also done a lot for the team outside of on the field performance and I really appreciate that. The man has donated a ton of money. He loves this place.

7. We’ve had some really nice LB play the pst couple of years. With that aside, we need more speed at that position. The instincts are there but I don’t see the elite speed.

8. Can we stop discussing Butch as a potential HC? That will never happen. Ever. The trustees were burned by him and will never get over it. Nor should they.

Anyways. Go Canes.

the way we win with richt is hire a innovative young oc like briles, the guy from memphis, or kinsbury, a new OL coach, and a speacial teams coach.
then let richt focus on recruiting which is a monster at.

Bedenbaugh from Oklahoma has had the best OL units at every stop in his coaching career. He comes from the Mike Leach tree and wants to call plays (Lincoln Riley calls them there). Can recruit the big bodies, coach them better than almost anyone in the ncaa, and runs an Air Raid that uses RBs effectively. Solves 3 massive problems and would cost under 1 million. Knock is he hasn't called plays yet, but I think it's worth taking a chance given that the Leach's coaching tree has had tons of success (if this was a guy off Rick's coaching stump I'd say **** no)

Either you missed the joke, or you actually previously bought a group of random CISers a round of beverages, and have come on to stop the financial misappropriation of first time poster’s monies from continuing.

I hope it’s the ladder, cause I have an oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you...

I used to live by the ocean, not what it's cracked out to be. And the mentioned posters are tools.

Here's a reflection: We completely underperformed in year 3 in so many ways it's disgusting that we are paying double for these coaches to do what the previous two staffs did for half.

Agree on the underperformance but I'm curious why everyone gets so lathered up about how much UM is paying coaches. You aren't paying a cent of the salary so why do you give a **** if Richt makes $3M or $4M or $5M? There is plenty of money there and more coming from the ACC network and Adidas.

I think because UM has always been so frugal, now that they’ve opened up the pocket book people expect results.

We heard for couple decades about how the admin refused to finance football... they finally do, and expectations are in line with the salary.

Got to put the blame on both coaches and players

no doubt for example all of the drops yesterday. we don't look like a good team is the point, we aren't well coached and we aren't showing improvement. combine all of that and I put it on the coaches as they are playing more of their players and the ones they inherited are in their third year of the system. do you find it strange that we had better records under Richt with more Golden players in the mix and a worse record the more of the Golden kids are gone and Richts's inserted?
