I’m baffled as to how anyone could have watched a true freshman play against Clemson and FSU as well as Emory played and not come away believing he is good. You guys have this view point of Emory because you saw him on a VERY RESTRICTED playbook. He played in a situation where we knew our only shot was to limit risk. You guys have seen him for a game and a half and you think you have an accurate read on him? That's wild to me... I'm not gonna share conversations I've had on him or what I've seen. But we feel good about his long term potential and his growth.
Just read your prior comment and see you like him. Most of us share that opinion.
In fact, I would bet that most people who watched the FSU game thought we had a real chance to win UNTIL Emory was hurt.
And those were 2 of our toughest opposing defenses last year. And yes the game plan was limited but we beat Clemson and almost beat FSU, and might have but for the injury. Who cares if we leaned on our running game and defense. Good teams should be able to do that.
Part of the problem on CIS is that some people actually think style points count as much or more than actual points. I don’t care if we run the ball 50 times or pass the ball 50 times. Just win baby.
