A good season Isn’t going to magically take us from 25th to Top 10. Best hope is (assuming we continue to whiff on major targets in July) is something like 12-15, and again will have to overspend in the portal. More than this year. QB, D-line, probably safety and WR as well. Most of those are extremely expensive and highly-sought after positions. Maybe another center if Tripp isn’t ready.

We’ll have to bridge the gap from this class to the 2025 kids, and this is all hypothetical assuming we win 8-9 games. It’s why I will keep pounding the table that if we have money to spend, it needs to be spent this month to off-set the constant negative recruiting we’re enduring.

And if the money is dried up, then just be up front and tell us (not you, just the program in general) so the expectations are brought down to reality.
