I'd steal the guy who just kicked Urban Meyer's *** in Jeff Brohm. Or We go extremely out of the box and go for Kendall Briles. He's got a Mcvay like quality about him. Keep Manny as DC, we'd be elite

Facts, fans that are looking for the perfect candidate will never find one.

I'm of the belief we can go in one of two directions. We either try to get another long tenured successful Coach like a Gary Patterson or David Shaw type (which is unlikely they leave their comfortable situations), or we go the Oklahoma route & hire our own version of a Lincoln Riley type who's a young X's & O's Guru that comes from an innovative offensive background.

The fact is, Richt is gonna be here for a while longer so looking for a new HC is just something us fans can have fun with, but the BOT ain't about to dig in their pockets again within the next 3-4 years to cough up an additional $20mill+ for another guy when they've already gone all in with Richt.

Our best hope is if someone with some power & influence forces Richt to give this Offense up to a new OC from outside the program. Otherwise, we're at Richt's behest until he retires, which he has no incentive to do anytime soon.
 
If we're throwing out names I'll say Dave Arrand; surprised he isn't a HC by now, which would be his limitation if we were to consider him against other candidates.

Assuming MR will not be fired I'd go the path of an OC/HCiW. Someone in their 40s, with a resume of producing points and recruiting. Someone thats worked under great HCs like Saban or Carroll. Some one who has worked with smart offensive minds, not afraid to hire the likes of Kendal Briles. Someone with something to prove. Someone with experience in the failures of nepotism. Someone thats vain enough that being the highest paid OC in CF would really tickle his fancy. Someone just @ssh*le enough to be willing to operate under MR's nose, not caring that he'll eventually force him into retirement. Lane Kiffin.
