Possible Head Coaches

Mike Leach is 44-39 at Washington State. Lane Kiffen is under .500 at FAU this season. Mario is shatting the bed again tonight. Frost is 2-6 at Nebraska. Stoops is below .500 at Kentucky and has never had less than 6 losses in a season. Butch would be almost 70 by the time he got things going, if he got them going.

Nine of the top 25 ranked teams lost to unranked opponents this weekend.

Overall, the road is littered with struggling up and comers from the last few years.

Just don't see a lot of candidates out there that get me excited right now.

You're welcome. And, you're wrong about Kiffin. He would kill it here for 3 years and bounce after resetting things for us.

You’re in good company.

1. When Kiffin was at Bama, anyone could have had him, he went to FAU. He actually took less money to be the HC.

2. Kiffin has “success” at FAU and anyone can have him, he stays at FAU.

3. Kiffin is now 3-5 this year at FAU and anyone can still have him.

Please note: We’re not discussing his multiple failures before FAU.

There is no easy answer. Every potential candidate will come with question marks.

Dabo Swinney was a questionable hire at Clemson. It worked.

Miami, just like all programs, is gonna have to get lucky.

butch, he is one of us.

i liked stoops last time because he was our db coach and built the fsu defense under jimbo, kentucky is not a fair judge of what he can
do because its hard to recruit. here he would probably crush recruiting with gran.

Bring down the pirate and his pirate school. The old school swag would be back and we would def be the greatest show on turf.

Last coach we brought from washington state won 2 national championships.

I agree with you, kiffin brings baggage but he would help our offense and the attitude of our team.

No the fck he wouldn’t. I live in CA and lived in Los Angeles during Kiffin’s years and I guarantee that if u suggested Kiffin to SC again, they would green light ur ***! Kiffin is a # 2 and a # 2 only. His body of work as the # 1 has proven he ain’t that guy. Go ask The Raiders, Tenn, USC and now go ask his 3-5 FAU program. FOH w his name! OC, yes! HC, **** TO THE FCK NO!

Brohm at Purdue looks like he can coach.

Bronco Mendenhall at UVA.

Manny Diaz talks a good game and has done a very nice job with our D. Would be curious to see what type of O he would want to run and who he would bring in to run it. I would imagine it’s similar to his D. Attack from every angle.

Babers is one of the better football coaches the Orangemen have had in the last 20 - 30 years.
He’s got some of that “preacher” pizzazz in him; you can see it in some of his post game locker room speeches after a big win (e.g. upset of Clemson a few years ago).
He’s also got the Cuse almost relevant again in college football - and that’s without having players like Art Monk and Joe Morris (or Larry Csonka and Jim Brown if you go really far back — lol).
They also upset NC State today.
If it came to it he’d definitely be worth a strong look IMO.

I was on board w Barbers. What he did at Bowling Green was out of sight. His offense w our talent would run up the score board. The only thing would b making sure he hired the right DC.

If anyone says mike leach or kiffin I’ll throat punch you ... we don’t need any rejects or personas that clash with south Florida

I would say Scott frost but his loyalty to his staff is very detrimental. If we are paying 4 million a year we can do a lot better than Dino. I was aboard cristobal but he’s corching it up.

Sadly you may have to take a chance on a young guy again, but one who is comfortable being here
