Hearing that Rashad Muhammad, brother of Shabazz Muhammad could be coming to Miami as a grad transfer.

Muhammad played at San Jose State. He is considered a "shooter"

Pretty sure that Muhammad has only played 2 years of college ball at San Jose State. He would have to sit out this season and have two seasons left.

Larranaga wants to have another guard signed up for next year as we only have three currently (four if you include Lawrence), a grad transfer would not help 2016-2017's situation.

I'd count Lawrence as a swingman, same mold as Reed. If you count those two with Angel/Sheldon/Palmer/Newton, we'll have 6 guys capable of playing a G spot.

We had an embarrassment of guards on last season's roster and Lecomte/Burnett transferred out due to wanting more minutes to play. Among those 6 guys capable of putting in minutes at G, we'll be fine. The minutes will work themselves out.

For sure. I definitely think the role allocation should be improved this year. However I'm talking about next year when we lose Sheldon and Angel. We need a couple guards and hopefully Muhammad will be one. Would be great to get him and have him sit out, get better, learn the system, and be ready to go in 2016-2017.

That being said, this team has the possibility to be the best team in Miami history. As long as the Canes stay healthy, I believe they will be better than the 2012-2013 team. I just hope the losing culture of the athletic department doesn't infect Larranaga and the team this year. I think Miami is a top 3 ACC team right now behind UVA and UNC. This team has depth, experience, length, athleticism, shooting, and size. Angel is going to be key. Miami must play efficient and composed like they did 3 years ago with Larkin at the helm. What made that team so great was they never got rattled, even playing in very tough environments. Must value the ball and rebound defensively. Also I would like to see Larranaga restructure his offense a little. I think we need to play a little inside-out more. That would open up the perimeter offense a lot more too. Get the ball inside to Jekiri, Sherman, Cruz Uceda, and Murphy. They are all capable of scoring down low.

I would love to see this team get to the elite 8 as we have never been there. Would be a great achievement.
