Is there any scenario, and if so what does that look like, of:

1. Manny & Co. not returning
2. Changes at the OC and DC
3. Changes below the coordinator positions, ie OL, DL, LB

It’s been documented enough how much this team is regressing, I’m curious if we end up not making a bowl and the recruiting class for 2020 and 2021 go to ****, what consequences there will be.

Because with that type of outcome, there is no way Manny can “explain” his way out of it other than the staff, top to bottom, screwed up what should have been at the very least an 8 win team.

Manny staying for now but he needs to make some changes to his assistants, especially on defense. Needs to also look for a replacement kicker, and get some experienced oline men through JUCO. If he does this at a minimum I can wait another year or two before giving up on the guy.

We are stuck with Manny and the pet shop boys. The person that needs to be fired is Blake James. Miami's athletic department IS the football team. Basketball is the only other revenue generator. Before anything happens to Manny the actual problem needs to be addressed. He was without a doubt the laziest hire outside of Randy Shannon this program has seen.

I get we promoted Coker but the team wanted him. Al Golden at least had head coaching experience. Would I have taken Richt? Probably. We had a chance to make a great hire because of Richt. Didn't take a buy out. He also orchestrated the IPF. We had upgraded the facilities and had money for a coach and we screwed it up. We gave four million a year to a DC who was Temple's fourth choice because he was "All Miami". What does that even mean?

If you fire the AD you need to fire his hire too. The new guy wants to hire his own coach. Any AD worth a **** wants his own guy. If Manny is going to stay might as well stick with James. I have asked on multiple threads for someone to give me the silver lining. What aspect of this team gives you hope. What area of the team is performing well enough to make you think things get better. Jarrens play has been great up until today. Got it. But folks want Enos gone. Oline sucks got it. Special teams is non existent. Our most talented recievers is only a part of the gameplan depending on who is starting at Qb. The players seemed unprepared and in motivated in the first half. Hill hyped them up more than the staff in the second half. Clock management is suspect. Gamplans are suspect. Philosophy has been suspect. Manny looks LOST on the sidelines. Manny pulled his Best Rex Ryan impression all off-season and we fell for it. What has this staff done to date that makes you think things can turn around?

I'm thinking of giving Minnie and the mouseketeers an extension for that brilliant near comeback rally last night. Conferring with BOT

agree, we need to hang in with Manny, to much turnover lately. President and BOT need to set a course of action
on what the "true" expectations are for program. BCS team ? 7,8 wins Coastal champs.
fire Blake appreciate what Richt did for school but we could have had Mullen or B.Davis
wholesale changes on D staff are in order, awful in a word.poor in preparation and adjustments. va.tech marched right down the field and nobody is forgetting the 4th and 17 nightmare. need to find a coach or 2 who can seek out the the guys with heart as well as talent. Give Manny some $$$$ to hire a staff to help him thru his learning curve.
this last comment is a major, major reach hire Jimy Johnson in some capacity, but his role would be to get the program back on track......... doubtful yes, but program from the AD level on down seems directionless and headed in wrong direction

1.) Manny won’t be fired year 1 or year 2
2.) he won’t fire Baker because that’s his guy, I think he would fire Enos but we won’t because he’s making the most
3.) Maybe he will fire Barry, LB Coach is Baker (see above), Stoud is a mentor to Manny so I could see him letting go but in a gentle way

If we fires anyone it will be Barry, Hickson, Stubblefield, Rumph which will only take care of a little of the problem

I am in complete agreement with you. However, the staff would cost to much to buy out plus the new staff. With the AD being let go you at least put the wheels in motion. Everyone is on notice.

Word around town is Manny’s dad made a deal with one of our powerful BOT members - he called in some political favors and got him a lucrative tomato contract

In exchange we hired his son to be head football coach to a 5 year deal

Sorry but Manny aint going nowhere

The actual possibility we should be pushing for is Blake James's head. He can't be allowed to have any influence in whether Manny stays or goes. Then we go from there. You get the right AD who can show the BoT how profitable a winning program can be (in terms of tickets and drawing student applications) and maybe he can get the money to bail us out of Blake's folly.

Position coaches are on year to year terms. End of the season if Blake wanted, which he should tell Manny he’s not renewing any position coaches contracts. But as you seen with Ritch, Blake gave him full autonomy in coaching hires. This lead to him at the end of the season begging Richt to fire his son. Ritch said no, he threaten to fire him himself, Ritch said, “I quit” Blake set himself up for the same thing under Manny. He has no leverage what you gone fire Manny after one season or two? Blake’s last of knowledge of competitive football has set this program back even further.

Before any changes are made Blake has to go. You open up the pocketbook for a first year coach with no experience and a coach who was at the end of his career. But you failed to offer up that money to the many head coaches that were available when Ritch stepped down. Ritch stepping down was a “get out of jail free” card and Blake threw it back in the deck. You conduct a 6 hour coaching search only to hire a defensive coordinator. These are fireable offenses at even the smallest schools in CFB, somehow he gets away with it at UM.

Heard something similar. Mario was a done deal money has been set aside and out of nowhere Diaz jr is hired.

He needs to get to .500 to survive another season and make staff changes. I don't care what, or who says it, 3-9 or 4-8 isn't survivable. You can't bring a program back from that.

1. Manny has about 2 season. His buyout won’t be an issue.
2. I think Enos is gone. Manny will likely call the defense before firing Baker.
3. Only changes on the defense side I see is if Jesse Simpson becomes is available.

Not defending Enos but his offense has given the team the lead close to the end of the game to have the Defense give it away with no resistance.
