I’m not sure if it was said here or not but while watching the LA Tech game, I can already notice the difference in speed and quickness Sam Brooks brings to the linebacker position. I’m not saying these guys will or will not be better, but it was intriguing having a better athlete at that position.

Agree. Super excited to have someone with his athleticism in that position. I'll follow suit...

I thought Bolden was absolutely surging in those last few games before he got hurt. It's been quite a while since we had someone that naturally athletic at safety. I am pumped to see what that kid does next year.
 
The speed of the Elite teams, and the way they do their set ups and plays are astounding..
We look like a JV scrub team.......we are so far off that level, it is **** scary.
Bring back real Miami football.....

dudes acting like senior Dan Morgan was out there. I don’t get it. He was was fine but I agree. nothing had Me grabbing my chest in awe...

Don't know what McCloud will be at Middle Linebacker next season, but I have huge hope for Brooks and Huff also! I believe we have the potential for much better linebacker play next year. I give Quarterman props for playing the bowl and being a true cane, but he and Pickney made just too many wrong gap reads and were not quick enough. No reason why our defense should not be way better next season. Now go get Quincy Roche from Transfer Portal to pair with Rousseau!
 
Brooks will be good. Terribly under rated after his injury.
But gotta laugh at some of the comments in this thread.Sounds like the offseason hype is already getting to some people. Hope is enteral, I guess. But some of you need to come to reality. This is a terrible football team and will be as bed next year.

I agree, he didn’t pop off the screen, but I noticed his closing speed was pretty good, I made sure I watch him through out the game, maybe when he learns the defense more he can play faster naturally
