Positive Thread Alert -- Spring Football 2019 Depth Chart

Just saw Matt millers draft top 10 by position. Our only guys to make it were shaq Jaquan and mj28. I forget where Gerald was at but he’s a beast. And they were all not too high on the list. Everyone that can needs to come back

Forgetting about the issues we're having on offense and special teams with scheme, preparation, and discipline -- in terms of depth, talent, and experience, this will be as healthy a roster as we've had for spring practices in some time:

QB (3)
Perry So
Weldon So
Williams Fr

RB(6)

61 total players leaving room for a full class of 24.

Long-shot scenario:

Win these final two games and a bowl game, secure a top 25 class, make a few tweaks on the coaching staff...perhaps we can salvage a couple 9 or 10 wins seasons over the next few years and keep this thing above water.

That really isn't that bad of a roster. To me anyway. Its not as good as it SHOULD be. There's plenty of names who should be on that list. So depth is lacking. But there's a lot to like.

Its the transfers I'm terrified about. Even more than this year's recruiting. Last year more than a few of us figured DJ Johnson would see that the depth chart would be cleared out & stick around. There's a lot of important guys who could do that this year.

What about the current juniors declaring for the NFL draft!!!!! I expect at least FOUR juniors to leave Miami come the Ides of March! dUh. Especially if Miami continues the current unthinkable losing streak.:youre-nuts:

Would be foolish to assume any juniors will leave early.
There's a groomed replacement in place for each departing senior.

Willis / Silvera
Odenigbo / Ford
D. Jackson / Rousseau
Johnson / Finley
Redwine / Carter
M. Jackson / Ivey
Dean / Blades
M. Smith / Jennings
Rosier / Williams
Gray / George
Langham / Hightower
St. Louis / Campbell
Gauthier / Gaynor
Jones / Reed

The fact we're in November and already looking forward to 2019 tells you everything you need to know about where this program is right now.

Why is Milo even on the team still?

On paper, before this season, these same players were suppose to win Coastal. We are now 5-5 team and maybe wind up a 5-7 team. More than half of posters were predicting no more than 2 loses and many predicting only one loss. I see no reason why these players and team should be any better in 2019. It’s one thing being optimistic but in reality same coaches, same schemes, same attitudes, and basically same players add up to another dismal year.
