First and foremost, I just want give a huge shout out to the players and coaches who put their heart into this ****. I'm proud of the culture that has been brought back to this program and it gives me confidence that we will remain in the playoff picture for years to come. We were a team this year and it truly felt like a family.

If you told me before the season that we would beat both teams that were in the national championship from last year and we would be 40 yards away from our 6th Natty, I would probably ask where do I sign...

This doesn't hurt as much as 2002, but there is definitely a feeling of disappointment. I feel for the players and the coaches because I know they shared a vision on bringing the championship home. Keep your heads up and be proud of what we did accomplish this year. Let's build off of it and keep this going.

It's great to be a Miami hurricane!

Being a Canes fan who just turned 30 a month ago, all I've experienced my entire life regarding Canes football is mediocrity. Growing up my dad told me stories and we watched videos and clips of the glory days when Miami dominated the sport. But to be able to see it with my own two eyes is still so surreal for me. I started to wonder if Miami would ever get to this level again, and even as gametime got closer and closer it was hard to believe that Miami was actually about to play for a national title. This season has been incredible start to finish. I feel down of course knowing #6 was so close but I can't help but feel excited, hopeful, and confident that this type of situation is going to become the norm from now on. This team is built to compete with everyone and in my opinion this is nowhere close to the most talented team Mario is going to field in the near future. Go Canes!

This season will be remembered forever regardless of the outcome of last nights game. The U is ‘here’ and it doesn’t appear the spending will be going away any time soon. Mario bleeds orange and green and we will be right in the mix next year again. Go canes

Regarding last night in particular, our guys didn't fold. After going down 10-0, 17-7 on the blocked punt, then 24-14 on the 4th & 5 TD scramble, would have been so easy to give up like our teams have done in the past. Look what happened to Bama and Oregon. Our dudes fought hard til 0:00. Just one too many mistakes, but the guys played their hearts out.

This team had heart and fight and grit and resolve, like no other UM team in the last 20+ years.

So proud of these guys. This season blew away my expectations. 13 wins, shot at a natty, physically beat up OSU, went into A&M and won in front of 100k plus fans, beat ND, FSU, UF, game winning drive over ole miss in the fiesta bowl!!!

And despite not playing our best game, still had a chance to win it all!

Let’s Go Canes!!!

- we’ll be back next year. Not a lot of teams can say that including indiana and their AARP roster

- take last night out, our D has a great identity and culture to build upon

- all 3 games we lost were within a score and all lost on one final drive. We didnt get blown out and get that feeling that we are still far from a playoff team

Everyone hates us again

edit for additional positive note: Where we were on D last year, to what we are now is insane positive momentum, and I fear for the lives of QBs in year 2 of Heatherman
