If Mesidor does start the entire season I am not cheering for his downfall. My issue is with you creating a deceiving narrative that he has been awesome by using misleading credentials. If anything we all should be hoping he far exceeds his production in '22. Barring 5-7, I'll be here in December to see how this plays out.

But again, he’s basically a supercharged true freshman, body-wise. He just turned 18. I’m excited to see what the product looks like against a team like ND, but we need Mesidor badly in that game. Having a 24 year old in a game like that is huge.

They don’t play the same position.

Blount will play Field 4i behind Bain same as Hayden Lowe and Cole McConathy.

Mesidor is playing Boundary stand up Edge with Malik Bryant, Marquise Lightfoot, and Booker Pickett

I'm not sure it's all set in stone and I imagine there's some cross training. That being said, I'll defer to you. Even if you're right, I was just going by the OP's question.
 
This is a really silly debate, they're both going to play a lot. But it's CIS so we need an off-season whipping boy and this year it's Messidor. That's fine, it gets much dumber around here. Last year around this time we had calls for X to be benched in favor of RayRay.

By G-d, if we don't see more speed at Edge this year (and I dont care in what front we need to get in to do it), I may scoop my own eyes out.
 
Bain and mesidor is a solid DE combo. Let’s just hope Blount, Cole, Lowe and Lightfoot can add some dynamic snaps too
 
Idk but I just know we need more speed on the edge which is what we missed last year. Don’t want to see both Bain and mesidor as our edge rushers on 3rd down. One should slide in as a 3 technique and we get one of our more explosive edge rushers out there
 
The Field 4i / DE position could play a big role in “DT” depth. If Cole McConathy and Hayden Lowe can step up and combine 20 - 25 quality snaps per game, that will allow Rueben Bain and Armondo Blount to play snaps inside at the Boundary 4i / DT position, with Blount play mostly inside.

Blount should be the first man off the bench at both 4i spots

Wild thought but I'm thinking Heatherman just might start whoever he thinks is best at the spot and not worry too much about what their high school star ranking were.
