Positional Competition (w/legit talent)

OL is 7-8 deep with starter types but 3 are freshmen/RS freshmen
Just for the record, and I don't want to harsh your buzz, but in case this post ever gets recycled in the future, I have to disagree with this particular notion of depth and "starter types."

Nelson- starter
Cohen- Bama starter
Lee- UCF starter
Rivers - starter
Cooper- has started

Samson
Mauigoa
McCoy

It starts to look pretty weak after those 8 unless I'm missing someone.

I’m a fan of Emory. I like his arm but he would take lumps if forced to start. Anyone but TVD is good for 2-3 extra losses.
No doubt. Mario built up Oregon to the point where they were good enough to have Anthony brown at qb and still win 10 games and make the conference game. Including beating taint at the shoe. We are not there yet. TVD goes down and it will be like last year. Maybe a tad better.

Side note Missouri qb battle includes Jake Garcia. If he wins out I’ll be watching their games for sure

The roster is finally updated online. What sticks out to me is how light the DT room is in terms of size

6’0 280 - Gore
6’2 280 - Deen
6’4 285 - Harrison-Hunte
6’5 270 - Lichtenstein
6’3 205 - Leonard
6’5 300 - Josh Horton* not on roster yet
6’3 325 - Moten

That’s it for the whole room. Leonard is an absolute monster of course but wow that room can afford a single injury and teams are going to try and run it right at us all season again up the middle. Mauigoa and Bissainthe are going to have to make so many tackles.
If Leonard is LT, then darn tootin we're light there? Somebody get that man some weight gainer with the antler mixed in.

who leads the backfield? chaney, parrish, allen, fletcher
wr room ... harrell, george, x, colbie, horton, smith, joseph
offensive line ... (most excited about this one) nelson, mauigoa, cooper, lee, rivers, cohen, mccoy
cbs ... (another dramatic change) brown, richards, porter, couch, davis, freeny

new year and new hope as usual, but even the downers have to admit the talent has improved ... also haven't heard any warning from cribby ... we're not SEC ready, but in the ACC we have enough to make noise
I'm with you on the OL. Really looking forward to seeing our guys in action there. Lee and Cohen are great pickups for Us. Go Canes 🏈

Something I would love to see regarding the in-game depth chart which the Canes haven’t had in eons, is real accountability

No more entrenched starters stinking up the ******* game with their **** poor play while continuing to get starter reps. When these individuals start ridin’ the pine then that’s how I now we’re heading in the right direction

You're missing Tommy Kinsler who is admittedly a true freshman but the kid has insane potential.

As far as our OL depth looking weak after the top 8, I don't know of too many programs outside of UGA, Bama, Michigan and Ohio Taint that don't start to look weak after you get past the top 8. I'm not saying that our OL is on par with the top programs but what you listed above is pretty darn good if you ask me. The way that the staff have upgraded this position group from last year to now has been nothing short of amazing.

Personally I'm extremely high on our OL this year. The starting five of Rivers, Cohen, Lee, Cooper and Mauigoa is very good. Then we add Okunlola, McCoy, Kinsler, Nelson plus Denis and Sagapolu and I think that is a formidable OL that has the potential to be among the nations best by the end of the season. They will have a few kinks to work out early on but by the time we get to the GT/UNC part of the schedule we should be starting to fire on all cylinders.

Leonard really lost a lot of weight.
Heard he hit this hard over the weekend and is bikini ready

I don't think those numbers are updated. Anthony Campbell still isn't there either.

Some of the rumored sizes from TOS:
Ahmad Moten 6-3 315-320lbs

Leonard Taylor 6-4.5 305-310lbs

Jared Harrison-Hunte 6-4 300-305lbs

Branson Deen 6-2 285-290lbs

Joshua Horton 6-4.5 300lbs

Anthony Campbell 6-6.5 295lbs

Jake Litchtenstein 6-6 290lbs
