10 win talent

I'm looking at the DB list thinking, "How the **** do you have Elder at #5 ?" But then I look above him and understand. If Rayshawn is healthy and Howard can put it together for a full season, that's where he could end up. That's a good problem to have.

Only disagreement I have is that we have 10 win talent. We have 10 win first line talent. Our 2-deep is 8 win talent. Once you get past that it's ugly. Depth and injuries may tell the tale this year.

Rok can you tell us a bit more about your power ranking system? Is it similar to say, 3TAnalytics, or more of just a "feel" type thing?

Thanks in advance.

That list is interesting to me, not so much because of the order within position groups, but the order of the groups themselves.

Rok has:

1. DL
2. QB
3. WR
4. RB
5. DB
6. TE
7. OL
8. LB

I understand group rankings must change year to year, but one of the keys to Miami is the geographic advantage in recruiting. The age old "backyard". When you really think about that, WR should never be worse than third, but neither should DB. On the flip side, South Florida has not historically produced a lot of really good college QBs, so maybe the staff s over performing there, at least in light of usual local talent. Having said that, that entire group is really based on Kayaa. We don't know anything about any of the others.

The other two that interest me are DL and LB. Particularly as they are ranked first and last. If you broke DL down further, historically there is 4-3 DE talent locally, but DTs are pretty hard to come by here, period. So the group composition is interesting. As to LB, this group should never be last at the U.
