Portal TE likes Miami

Lmao gotta admit I didn't check his weight and just assumed he was on the heavier side because there is no way he would play TE for us.

Gotcha. He won’t play meaningful snaps at TE but he could be useful on special teams like a blocker on FGs plus the scout team.

I am all for taking as many PWOs as we can get. You never you may just find a diamond in the rough.

He is not going to cost us a counter.

He is not going to count against the 25.

He is not going to count against the 85.

He is not even going to cost the U money because his family will not only pay his way, but be one of the small percentage of students who pay full boat.

Top teams have MASSIVE walk-on programs. You need a lot of bodies to run proper practices, ESPECIALLY in the Spring. Our walk-on program has been behind the same 8-ball as our baseball team because we are a private school with high tuition. We have a lot less kids than our public state-school competition.

If you think he's good enough to run some routes so the 3rd string QB can throw 100 balls on the sideline, or that he can sub in as a tackling dummy, you take him.

This is called FREE MONEY guys. Not debatable, and zero risk.
If he wants to come....Let him...Absolute insanity to not give him a shot...

Stupid headline. No TE is transferring to a program he can't crack the two deep on.

They’re might be a roll for him here....

I wouldn't even mess with him as PWO. If there's such a thing as an Undesired Walk-on we could squeeze him in there. He would be forced to pay for the other walk-ons' meal plans as an Undesired Walk-on.

Coached him his freshman and sophomore year at Arch. Had such high hopes for him, unfortunately he was stuck in a 1920 system that Coach Walker still runs to this day. He is a really good kid and would do anything asked by his coaches. Could contribute on special teams, his dad worked with him a ton on long snapping.

Wait, so it would be possible to get a long snapper without using an Initial Counter?

Let's keep this a board-secret.

If anybody remembers the Willis Peguese longsnapping fiasco in the ‘87 opening game against the Gator I say we can never turn down a good specialist even if only to back up the scholarship long snapper. I’m sure you remember how UF got its only four points.
