We play 2 linebackers. I don't see the outright need to add depth players
We had a walk-on playing LB in the 4th quarter of a conference game 2 months ago.

Yes because we have an innovative position we call strikerrrrr smhWe play 2 linebackers. I don't see the outright need to add depth players
Because of injuries. That shouldn’t be a issue this year.We had a walk-on playing LB in the 4th quarter of a conference game 2 months ago.

do some up downs
You don’t sign 12-14 LBs in the span of 4 years in fear of you losing 5 to injuries at the same time down the line..I mean if you can see that far ahead you need to shoot me your lotto picks..if we lose 5 guys to ink in the span of 14 months at one position it’s gonna cripple u..find me a program carrying 10-12 scholarships LBs..then ask have those programs been in the same situation as usYes. Do you know why you recruit depth? To account for injuries. Is this real life?

Lol yeah. We knew this cycle we needed 3 LBs with wilder likely done and Joyner and Steed TBD as real contributorsThe staff wanted another backer. It’s the reason they had 3 committed before Mathis bolted. They only signed 2. They clearly think they need another. With the unreal injury luck gutting this position, I can’t say I disagree.
No worries though, I had this literal exact conversation prior to the 2019 season and was laughed at and called Chicken Little. And lo and behold, I had to watch Ryan Ragone on my football field.

I don’t think the staff “let” the kid go to FSU lol..kids make those decisions. Who knows why he made the move..personally I’d rather the staff hit the portal and not reach for a prospect just have a body..that’s just me thoAgreed. So let’s get back to my original question.
What’s the reason that the staff let a kid from Central who was very productive at Purdue take a walk-on spot at FSU? If not this kid, then who else are they getting either in February or vía the portal?
Lots of teams have a walkon or two that end up playing deep in a year.
Also...Ragone wasn't bad
Give me Diesch and Hamilton.
Kid just told FSU's staff he's going there as a walk-on.
We know Miami needs help at LB....was there no communication with this kid? Purdue was really lamenting losing him.
to FSUCornel Jones- LB from Purdue, played at Miami Central
