I have seen him play and he isn’t better than tvd. Oklahoma doesn’t play defense and everyone lights them up. And he had 296 and 3 tds that game lol tvd has had games like that vs better defenses. Last season was Pratt best season and tvd put up those numbers as a freshmen vs better competition

I think it's fair to say TVD had plenty of games like that, and even better.

In fact, TVD averaged a 66% completion percentage, 366 YPG, and 3.33 TD's per game during the 2nd half of the season, with a 6.67 to 1 TD/INT ratio (3 picks total). IIRC Pratt has had one game in his entire career with as many yards as TVD averaged in that time span. In fact last season Pratt had 6 games with 164 yard or LESS, and only four 300+ yard games, and he averaged just over 2 TD's a game.

Give me TVD all day.

Well TVD also plays WITH better competition...so that comparison is irrelevant IMO. He's not throwing to Tulane level talent.

TVD wasn't at a talent disadvantage versus ANY of his opponents. Zero.

Pratt put a less talented team on his back versus Oklahoma and lead a comeback while getting his head beat in repeatedly.

Pratt doesn't play in a wide-open pass happy offense either, so yards are kinda meaningless to the debate.

Fortitude, toughness, balls, leadership and the ability to put a team on his back... I'm taking Pratt all day. That's my guy.

I hear you my dude, Pratt is good, but you can't say TVD doesn't measure up. It's not just YPG.

In TVD's 6 game stretch he averaged 14 yards per completion.

In 2022 Pratt averaged... 14 yards per completion.

Identical.

But TVD was way more productive which matters, he carried the offense. Yes, YPG, but also 50% more TD's per game, a better TD/INT ratio than Pratt, and TVD had a higher completion percentage. TVD outshines him almost everywhere statistically there.
