Portal Needs After Looking at Eligibility Chart

This is more numbers focues and less about Talent analysis

- QB - 2 sopmores this year and both are on the bench.. thats scary and a huge indictment on the previous staff. NEED - Grad Transfer
- RB with Dallas going pro that leaves 2 Jr and 2 commits. 4 is way low but with 2 jrs the Need 1solid RB willing to sit a year
- WR same as RB with KJ gone and Thomas declaring and Pope wiggend Payton meh.. 1 GT and 1 for the future
- OL numbers on paper look OK (not talking about talent here so spare me) . One GT OT
- LB numbers are atrocious. 2 GTs and another that can sit 1
- DB - numbers are spread but thin.. add

Jeremiah Payton is my favorite WR returning, got All conference level talent. I’m also high on Mark Pope and Dee Wiggins In a spread offense. I really don’t see the benefit in getting a portal WR unless it’s some all world 1st round talent. We have enough WR talent that needs to be developed in a competent offense.
 
2 ol,2 lb,1 qb,1 cb,1 de,1 k is what i can think about we may may need from portal.Another wr wouldnt hurt either

I’d say this is the worst WR core we’ve had at Miami in 20 years.

A lot of that may be coaching, but we’d be fools not to add at least one transfer IMO.

We only play 2 line backers at a time. 8 linebackers is fine. You have McCloud, Brooks, Huff, Jennings and Steed. Other than oline, the coaches need to stop worrying about redshirting players and play the best players available. Nobody is staying in college for 5 years anymore. Sam Brooks should have been getting reps the entire season instead of redshirting.

Pretty sure it updates automatically whenever UM updates the official roster. So whenever EE guys finish showing up on campus you'll see changes

Regardless of numbers we have alot of unproven guys maybe a couple portal guys wouldnt hurt

I'm done with the 5/15/18 sh1show. Give me:

- 1 grad transfer QB (note: grad transfer, not portal transfer)
- 1 starting OT and 1 OL that will be heavy in the OL rotation
- 1 WR
- 1 CB for depth

Give me that, and I think we're cooking with grease.
 
It doesn't matter how many guys you want to take from the portal, it only matters how much room you have left on your initial counters for the year. If Moises ends up signing with our recruiting class that would only leave 6 spots available for transfers and additional High School players. With those 6 spots I'd take:

Brady Ward OL High School (Visiting later this month)
Ennis Rakestraw CB High School (Visiting later this month)
Henry Hattis OG Stanford (Transfer)
Devin Cochran OT Vanderbilt (Transfer)
Quiency Roche DE Temple (Transfer)
Jose Borregales F FIU (Transfer)

If Moises does not qualify academically, then with our one additional spot I's take Jett Duffey QB Texas Tech (Transfer)
