Have to say that in terms of fun/anticipation the portal is a lot better than signing day. This is like college football’s free agency. Constantly refreshing Twitter/tdubs sauces for the latest info. Whereas the offseason is normally long and boring, this year it has not. That is because of how electric the portal is this year. Usually hate the ncaa, but they did something right with the portal.

Completely agree.

Its because the kids are more mature and arent setting televised decision dates, so news could break at any time.

Also a lot of the available transfers are proven contributors, not proyected ones.

For sure and Miami will always be an attractive destination once athletes get an experience of the that “college life” that gets boring after a while in some hillbilly town. You can do the same sh*t at Miami and much more

Less bags due to the kids only having 1 maybe 2 years left.

Portal probably helps Miami more than any other team. The big dawgs arent gonna go hard for a Bolden or KJ Osborn when they got 5 star WRs signed already.

Also, it’s a great chance for us to get Miami kids who went SEC but then later got homesick or just regretted the decision.

And the last but not least, when you can pick up DL (like Gerald) in the portal, that’s where we can really do some damage. We don’t have the big bucks for top notch DT or QBs, but in the portal they are on clearance.

We gotta evolve in this Portal stuff. We can't just sit every year and wait til they come to us. We gotta get a chokehold of the portal. Innovate what we are doing as years go by.
