Lol@ choosing FSU over temple coach when the temple coach just had a former 2 star TE drafted 4 rounds higher than the 5 star all time TE at FSU.

To FSU. I tried to tell you guys who were reporting he was a done deal here. FSU and Michigan were high on his list. My friend was his coach and said we moved up because the kid hear Butch Davis might be coming back. Basically said a Philly kid trying to get to the nfl was not looking to play for the "former temple coach" I thought it would be michigan tho he wanted a winning program. good kid from what i hear. wish him the best.

Good Luck to your Seminoles this season.

my seminoles. I'm bleed orange and green. go choke

Kaaya got that 2 star drafted. Brad is old style Miami QB and they all made TEs $$$$$$

You're giving Kaaya too much credit. The weapons he had all were productive prior to Kaaya's arrival.Clive was going to get drafted anyway. Look at his numbers. 1 year with Kaaya didn't cause him to accumulate his stats the previous 3 years to break the record. That being said, Kaaya is good and he has a reputation of favoring the tight end. And our history should be a selling point as well.

No trying to take anything away from Clive but Brad had him going higher and Clive messed up some in the interview process. Brad will use TE in much more deadly manner than any QB in the last 8 years.

He was a "lock" 6 months ago before we went after Irvin for the 2nd TE in 2016 and Mckitty and Gamble already committed for 2017. Upshur released a top 8 months ago without us in it. But sure slant the story how you want so you can continue with the Butch bull****.

Honestly who cares about how many drafted, where drafted, in what order, its all about winning in the college level, we can have no one drafted for all i care as long as we win that championship thats all that matters

one is a slow t-rex armed guy and the other is a NFL prototype size n speed guy which is the reason for the huge round difference

Why did Temple end up finishing third in his recruitment?

he was never going to temple. personally i thought Michigan. He def liked UM but winning mattered too. Bama was on him hard but he didnt want to play in deep south apparently. I though ohio state would make a move. FSU was always around. if we won 10 games last year, i think we had him. imo
keep in mind, I'm just getting info from a coach but the coach is very accurate.

I just have to disagree. Brad wasn't the reason why Clive was drafted. Clive improved statistically each year he started here which also contributed to him breaking records. Kaaya is good but it also help that he walked in to a situation with established vets like Duke, PD(probably would have left early if not for the injury his junior year), Clive and Flowers.

You're right. Yea when RS signed Walford everyone knew he had a high upside. He was a slim big receiver for Belle Glades but most people knew he had major talent and was an athletic freak. He just needed to add size and experience. O'leary was just more experience playing the sport and advance. He was skilled but physically he peaked. However, Nick didn't disappoint in college they still used him to his strengths but what do you expect? As you stated he was 6'2, with short arms, running a 5.1. Clive had surpassed him physically. I don't think Nick gained anyway weight once he went to FSU. He came in like 6'2 230 and left weighing like 240.

All valid points. Again, I have no problem giving Clive credit. I liked Clive a lot, but whoever plays TE the next two years will be seen in more NFL film rooms before drafts than all our TEs since Grahman combined. If for no other reason than the battle of Brad in two years. The NFL is already over the read option QB, see GRIII and that is mostly what college is turning out. Brad is classic pocket and getting better at snaps under center without any character issues. His offensive players will all be seen a lot and TEs will get a ton of exposure, so any one of them passing by a chance to play with him has made a questionable decision. Not saying Brad doesn't need to improve, but is there a reason to doubt that he will? This kid is focused like old Canes. You have to wonder how many NFL talent dudes watch the nole game last year as Brad ripped them apart that first half and wondered if he wasn't the best QB on the field.

But you are the one that said FSU is putting better players in the NFL. So what FSU players are you referring to exactly?

You need to beast in college in order to make the pros.

I thought it would be michigan tho he wanted a winning program

Meatchiken last 10 years --- 73-53
Miami last 10 years --- 72-54

Well, I guess they have won one more game than us the last 10 years.

They have a new coach with a strong resume and renewed hope.

Miami has neither.

nycane said the dude wanted a winning program. If he wanted a coach with a strong resume and renewed hope, he should've said he was willing to accept a less-than-winning program in exchange for that renewed hope. In any case, as I told the other dude, point taken.
