POP plays

I think the POP and RPO seem to be the same thing. I am not saying play action, but play option (as the article I cite mentions).
It's not. RPO's are essentially 2 plays in one and are based off the safety ( or any position ) biting and the QB making the read to pull and throw. POP is creating the illusion that you're running the ball and then taking off the top but its strictly a pass play.

laughing at people not knowing what a pop play is but bothering to answer the thread. We coached little league 95lb players back in the 90's and ran TE pop play regularly. These were 10 year olds lol. It's not exactly innovative or advanced.
 
RPO's is what they are called. We also used them quite a bit last year. They were probably the hottest trend for offensive play callers for the past 3 years. I doubt that we don't incorporate them in some way. ****, I don't know of one team in the pros that doesn't use them.
