Okay everyone, in the interest of trying to de-clutter the board, I'm gonna try and get everyone to post their thoughts on Butch in this thread. So any thoughts on if he's the best man for the job, if his ACC record at UNC is relevant, if he's still a good program builder, if he's too old, if he's DA GAWD, etc. should be posted here. After say, 30 minute or so, I'm going to start deleting all the cyclical back-and-forth posts about Butch that appear on the front page.
I will also create separate polls for Mullen, Richt, and Schiano. Let's try to keep the discussion about their pros/cons limited to those threads.
Note - if there is legit info about the candidates and the current search, I will NOT delete it.
I'll start the ball rolling:
Butch Davis
Pros - Elite talent developer, knows what it takes to win at Miami, will galvanize the fan base and recruits, cleared of NCAA wrongdoing
Cons - Been out of football for a while, most recent gameday record as a coach is less-than-elite, still has "scandal" stigma regardless of NCAA ruling
