I don't blame anyone for thinking it was a good hire given where he was and the fact Saban was gonna move him to OC. You think, wow, the guy knows what he's doing with those QBs and has been a part of the team culture at Alabama. Obviously Manny got convinced too, but his original statement of what he wanted in an offense was the right one.
