Irvin and Mallory have been very pedestrian so far. People rave about Mallory’s potential but I haven’t seen anything that screams wow-dude gets manhandled by physical lbers and db’s. Hodges as a TE haven’t seen much. But he is short and not terribly big or fast. Nevertheless the jury is out. Mamarelly or whatever his name is was primarily a blocker in HS. He’s got potential though. After Brevin we don’t have a true stud behind him.

You notice i didnt mention irvin, and if thats the case who doesn't get manhandled by physical Lbs n cb's? But i catch where u coming from.

Oh, please. We had a ton of these kids in the 80's. During Highsmith's era....and including his cousin, Freddie Highsmith.

Not sure we need a blocking TE in Lashlee's offense

As long as this opens up a slot for another grad transfer its good news in my opinion (not sure all the scholarship rules here if anyone else does?)

Speaking of strength does Mallory even work out? I was a fan of his potential till I saw him play. I don't know what the deal is but Manny just isn't a guy who brings out the best in these kids. I mean, I watched Mallory and he dropped a costly third down pass.... later in the game he caught a meaningless pass with the game already lost and acted like he caught the game winning touchdown. Pretty sure I saw pop do the samething vs fiu. Reflection of the HC. Let's be cute but not put in the work it takes to win.

As some others have alluded, anyone transferring out at this year does not do us any good as we are capped at how many we can bring int. 10 more people could transfer and it would not allow us to bring in 1 more player than we already can b/c we are capped.
 
IRVING JR is good enough to man that spot behind Brevin honestly. The TE room is pretty solid...and Mamarelli May be able to play a few games in the Blocking game b4 taking a shirt similar to Hodges. Hodges actually had 2 tds i think in his rs year this season...and looks to be a good hback type moving forward.

The numbers with the new scholarship rules do not work that way. Loosing 5 bodies might only yield 1 new available scholarship. Have to understand the rules of the game.

Always thought Polendy could've been put in a position to pack on some lbs and move to the OL ala Mr. Winston.

But as stated, E before W don't mean a got **** thing.
