Last year we had 31 turnovers and only 72 points off those

This year 14 turnovers through six games and already 69 points

I know it's skewed by UNC but we played crappy teams last year too and couldn't turn turnovers into points,

This year we're taking care of business and it's why I think we're taking care of business. If this continues we won't see close games against the UVA, GT, Pitt's of the world

Credit to richt and the offense in taking advantage of the gifts the defense is giving them

Good stuff, 407!
This and 3rd down conversion improvements are great to see.
Now give me some passes to the RB, more motion, & DJ taking wildcat snaps near the goal line.

Skewed?

Dude getting turnovers and converting them into points is just that. It does not matter who it is against....

I agree with you.. but most on the board will be quick to turn a good stat into a bad one citing context. It is what it is a lot of it came against UNC with the TD's

But the FSU game was huge. In that right too

I love the fact we convert turnovers into points. Good teams make opponents pay for turnovers. I think the bigger stat to dive into is 3rd down conversions. We have only given up 17 3rd down conversions this year. That's less than 3 per game and it's an insane statistic. We have a 3rd down conversion percentage of .198. Next closest is .229. Incredible

Let them turn it negative it will identity the boards idiots more quickly.

It was so frustrating last year watching the defense get all those turnovers only to see Rosier and the offense go 3 and out. When this team is turning turnovers into points, they're unbeatable.

Just gotta keep up the pace on both fronts.

I think this weekend we get a real good insight into who this team is and where it's going. Lots of road games coming up where they won't have the energy of the home crowd to pick them up. Need to take care of business those first couple of drives, get them down on the ground with our foot on their neck and keep it that way for 60 minutes and choke sumbitches out.

If we can't control @UVA from start to finish, @VT gonna be a real problem.

If Perry starts or made an early appearance in that game we don’t be get blown out with our offense looking like a joke

Perry might have thrown a couple pick sixes and it would have been even worse. Then you'd be on here complaining that if we'd just started Rosier his experience would have been the difference.

You don't know what would have happened and neither does anyone else.

You're correct that we don't know exactly what would have happened. However, if you're making an assumption based on how the offense has looked with Perry vs how it looked with Rosier, I'd say it's safe to assume the offense would have at least played better with Perry under center. The offense has been more efficient and dynamic since they made the switch. There's no arguing that.

I'm pleased with the way the QB position has transitioned.

We can all go back and be MMQBs now that we know the outcomes, but I'm sure if you surveyed 100 NCAA coaches, nearly all of them wouls start the senior who won 10 games the prior season against LSU and work the RS Fr in against the next 3 or 4 patsies.

The point is moot anyways, Perry was suspended for LSU, so their really was no choice.

Onward we go to the next test, an ACC road game. I think we see more progress.

What I'm arguing is that it's silly to pretend we know what would have happened. If we got a do-over, sure play Perry, we already know Rosier will lose. But we don't get a do-over and we didn't know Rosier would lose.

After fsu, I'm inclined to believe that he would have given us a better shot, but there are still problems with that logic. Maybe he could beat lsu now, but couldn't have then being the most obvious one. He's had more practice, more game experience since then...you have to think that count for something.

STOP IT NO DO-OVERS just win the game it's that simple.can't worry about the past can't change it just move on.Perry will get his chance to shine against better teams.I hope you guys do remember he's a redshirt starting his third game I'm sure he will make some plays but don't go apeshyt when he messes up well.you guys/fans here turn quicker than a chameleon changes colors

Last year this was the biggest reason why teams hung around in games with us. We would get turnovers and not do anything with it. This year we are making them pay.

I’d venture to say that the FSU game had more pressure and hype with a desperate FSU team. Rivalry game. On national TV as well. And I’m sure he was getting Blown up by his friends and family who were on both sides telling him stuff.

I’m sorry Perry might not have won the game but that game would be ridiculously closer than it was and we wouldn’t be hearing how much we got our **** pushed in by a SEC team when our name gets brought up nationally about respect. Rosie lost us that LSU game

**** happened. It's over. Get over it, no point looking back now.

You want to rehash some bullsh!t woulda coulda, I'll ***** with y'all all night about that ******* "call" at the "end" of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.

It's time we let LSU go.

Remember when we used to argue with people in the offseason about this, but they just refused to acknowledge it... Good times lol.
