Doesn't the uf game count as one of 4 games for emory since he took a live snap?
 
I want to see both of them. Give them each a possession with the starting o line to see what they got. Then I want to see the back ups at all positions dominate as well.
 
Emory is redshirting. He will replace Cam if there’s an injury, but don’t expect to see him in garbage time.

My guess is Poff will come in late in games if there are only a few snaps to take, like last week. Pointless to use one of Emory's 4 games in those situations. If there is substantial playing time available and a chance to get some more experience, Emory likely would get a shot. Probably will in this game, with at least most of a quarter

Looks like its Poff is 2. Why wouldn't you play Emory if he was actually the 2. If Cam goes down you would want someone with game experience. You're not gonna roll the dude out that never took a snap.

Nah, they're saving his redshirt. Not using it at every blowout. Using it while up 50+ to FAMU does not count as "saving" a redshirt. In fact it's the opposite. Just look at Tua's little brother at Bama you don't bring in QBs to hand the ball off and take knees with the expectation that they will receive a redshirt. That's what Poff is for.

He will get plenty of meaningful reps with the 1's in practice going against a **** of a defense.

This just isn’t accurate or logical. It’s been stated at length many times what the strategy is, regardless of whether you believe it or not.
