So my buddy who has a son playing baseball at Albany St said Poff got a sweet NIL deal at UM ($300-$500k) i bet he is calling SU to head back north, but he won’t get that bag again.

He was needed to back up Cam if anything happened to Cam.

Emory was promised to be Redshirted this year and Judd was not ready.

Keep defending a staff that has zero creativity. Poff was an example, they could have Michael Vick backing up Cam and they would have no clue how to use him. You evidently would be shocked at how many backup QBs or former QBs were park of fake kicks across college football. Notre Dame alone I recall did it with two different former QBs. Most are not the athlete Poff is. The bigger issue is why do they not create anything with special teams and other than kicking and punting, pretty much suck. They don’t anything well and are Horrible at coverage and returns.

Best of luck to the kid. Brought into to compete for starter job and then we crooted Cam over him (I'm sure he knew the risk, it's a business). At that point, he was nothing but a benchwarmer all year barring injury. Trust he got paid well and deservingly so for essentially wasting a year of eligibility. Hope he transfers somewhere he can start again (i presume non p-4) and we free up NIL to go big game hunting

Why is that? You think the kid thought he had a career in football? You think Albany has a sweet nil program? Kid got a bag that goes towards setting himself up in life. No clue what he got from North Texas but I'd guess it was probably another 100 or so. Seems to me he's doing better with his last two decisions than most people. From the times I spoke with the kid he definitely seemed like a bright kid. Wish him luck moving forward.
