Poff in Portal

Not shocked, he wasn’t the future, he was a last gasp flyer when we didn’t know Ward was coming to town. Once that happened, he was a backup merely to get Emory a shirt. That has happened and Emory is going to be competing against Luke and a portal guy for the starting gig. Poff doesn’t have a role and was likely encouraged to leave. Good luck to the man.

I don't want to be right about Mario, but **** it, he does less with more than any coach out there. That's really frustrating, because he does bring in more talent than most coaches. What he DOES with it, though, is pathetic. Playing down to every half decent team we play is a recipe for multiple losses, and it will keep happening until he can learn to get the most out of his team. ****, we had multiple losses with the best QB performance we've ever seen here. How can you not even play for an ACC title, in a weak ACC, with the best O your school has ever had?

Mario is simply a terrible game day coach, and he wouldn't even be here if we didn't have a bunch of rich, nepotistic idiots swinging from his nads.

That's what Mario probably told him, "Errr... we gonna go shopping in the portal for a QB1 for next year, kid. The scholarship is not being renewed. If you need us to put in a good word for you at any school, NOT NAMED, The University of Miami (Fla), just let me know. Thanks for your time and professionalism. Good luck."

Agreed. This is why I continue to say that Mario has already peaked. This is as good of a season as he will produce. We won't make the playoffs with him here. If that is the goal, after next season (when he regresses) move on.

You deal with the same thing at the HS level.

Kids that already have D1 offers would rather to be backups at STA and other private schools for clout instead of staying at their own school.
