I said repeatedly that’s not an excuse. They are his players. We also hit on all the other reasons why he’s not getting the most of the personnel.**** D$, I’ve been following and posting on this site for years, but these podcasts and your commentary are becoming a tough listen with all the excuse-making for Mario.
Personnel excuses? We’re really saying we don’t have the players at Center/Interior OL or WR?
Center: If Mario and Mirabal are supposed to be elite OL gurus, why can’t they find and develop a quality center after four years? That’s not a talent issue anymore — that’s on coaching and evaluation. No excuses.
Wide Receiver: We’ve all seen enough from Mali, JoJo Trader, and Josh Moore. They’re explosive, 5-star level playmakers who clearly stress defenses whenever they’re on the field. Yet Mario’s conservative, slow, run-heavy approach or reluctance to fully trust them; keeps them from seeing the touches and snaps they’d be getting in more innovative, dynamic offenses. At other programs, those three would all be stars. No excuses, again. That’s not even adding in CJ Daniels & Marion skill sets
Mario acquired the talent (it’s the one thing he’s good at) so there’s no more excuses about the “personnel.” Mario’s approach and Mario’s philosophy is why we’re losing games or games are closer than they should be. End of Story
And if he doesn’t change that’s it for him
Because Virginia and GT win all their ACC contests.does it really matter if mario is this outstanding recruiter...
if he continues to lose to teams with less talent?!?
I mean how is Virginia going to the ACC championship game for @#$# sake?!
I said all offseason that going with the same run gameplan as last year would kill our offense this season. You were going with the company line of “just don’t lose yards”. We are now seeing the effect of having an entire scheme based upon not having any explosive plays. It simply doesn’t ******* work. The entire mentality of let’s not score too fast, or let’s be conservative at its core is what has lost this season. It was obvious going into the season that was going to be the case.I said repeatedly that’s not an excuse. They are his players. Problem is that now that it's becoming clear to most that Cam made Mario/Miami not the other way around, who the fack is going to want to play for this meathead?I said all offseason that going with the same run gameplan as last year would kill our offense this season. Mario isn’t going to change. So what is next? Literally the ONLY thing that matters is hitting on portal QB and getting an absolute playmaker that Mario is completely incapable of being a conservative ***** with. That’s literally our ONLY HOPE for next season. Everything else is meaningless because fundamentally the staff is conservative who believes in condensing the box, shortening the game, and getting 3.3ypc with 20 play drives. They are living in the 80s and have shown zero ability to adapt, except for the ONE EXCEPTION of landing Cam Ward who intrinsically was a playmaker. We have nothing but evidence of being a boring slow offense with zero creativity or explosion for 3 of Mario’s 4 years here. Can Ward was the difference. Everything rides on us getting an Elite QB in the portal. Mendoza wouldn’t have changed **** with this offense. We need a Baker Mayfield/Pat Mahomes/ CamWard player. Incredibly difficult to land.
Even if Cam made The offense last year, you can still use that as the selling point. The fact is we do still have an elite pass blocking oline. It’s “synergy”. If we maintain this philosophy, it can absolutely work with an elite qb. And what we provide with the talent can significantly help the qb too.Problem is that now that it's becoming clear to most that Cam made Mario/Miami not the other way around, who the fack is going to want to play for this meathead?
Expect to see lots of Jojo, Moore and hopefully Upshaw moving forward.**** D$, I’ve been following and posting on this site for years, but these podcasts and your commentary are becoming a tough listen with all the excuse-making for Mario.

Mario had to opened up the offense last year, cause Guidry gave him no choice. Now that he has a somewhat competent DC, he is right back to his comfort zone. I know Cristobal knows football, always talking about Pad levels, and all that other technical stuff, but for the life of me, how could he not do something with that defense last year, it was just motion.**** D$, I’ve been following and posting on this site for years, but these podcasts and your commentary are becoming a tough listen with all the excuse-making for Mario.

Rather skip the game, most draft eligible guys will have checked out, along with the portal casualties. If you think this is bad, just remembered the second half of last year's pop tarts.Probably the Pop Shart Bowl
With Mario, we have the draft and the off season to look forward todoes it really matter if mario is this outstanding recruiter...
