dont kid yourselves. this competition will continue at least into the first few games of the season, as it should

Yeah it'll be a two-headed monster for at least two games.

I believe so too. Sticking with my prediction of Rosier/Shirreffs starting game 1 and 2 with heavy doses of Perry by halftime in each. Then a "real" starter is named for FSU.

I think that our QB play will be better by the ACCCG than it will be in week three. If that is what you are trying to say, I agree. If you are suggesting that one college QB needs to play two complete "pre-season games" to be ready for FSU then I disagree.

So Gaynor and Mahoney are our top two OL off the bench...let's hope they're ready.

Helps that McDermott and Darling can play tackle but Brown and Herbert not being ready yet is kind of surprising.

How did Clemson work Watson in his freshman year? I think he split reps for the majority of the year before taking over late....?

He got hurt mid season and missed the second half of the season, but yes. He came off the bench and then one game he just never came out

Yep. He split time, most of the season. But was definitely the starter by the time he was injured.

yup. I think this is how Richt should handle Perry. There are gonna be plenty of reps the first two weeks to get both Perry and Sherrifs/Rosier comfortable with the offense so the hot hand can take the majority of the snaps against FSU. Yea, it will be frustrating at times watching a clearly lesser talented QB in there, but I think that is the safest way to play it. Don't want to give all the reps to one guy then get to FSU and find out he isn't close to being ready and have to make the decision of whether or not to make a switch during the biggest game of the year

Brown more then Herbert. 3rd year guy cant even get into the top 7? Smh. And what about Bar Milo? And Tre Johnson? Alot of wasted bodies hanging around at OL right now.

Herbert was a project and most on here who followed his recruitment from start to finish knew that. Hes not a finished product and was never going to be a plug and play like Donaldson or Gaynor. He is still raw. Not raw like Hillary or Dykstra. He will be a starter next year I think but this year is a year of development for him.

Somebody needs to do cliffs on these podcast. I would devout one upvote every time.

E-cred is limitless.

Is Linder not medically not cleared? If that's the case and Richt told him he wouldn't have a scholly, then I can see him transferring. If that's not the case, he is a quitter because he lost his starting spot...I think people are making excuses for him. Seems to me he felt self entitled, wasn't going to be giving his spot so he cried and will leave. If he isn't medically good enough, why doesn't he take Year off and play here? Either he doesn't want to compete or Richt said he won't have a scholly...which one is it? B

No but they need to be taking the majority of the snaps for most of camp and the practices leading up to a big game. Splitting reps just means you have two QB's only half prepared

If Stanley is a stud why not offer him rs for next year . It's like having to many DTs in south fl in one class . You rs for the next year if they're better prospects than the next year dbs . If messed this up I been drinking little early . "My thoughts until proven @ Miami people's resumes at orher schools doesn't coaches a free pass it gets u in the door ".

They'll be getting game reps and practice reps for the next 5 weeks, so that should be plenty of time to get ready.
