Pls don't crush me for uttering this heresy, but...

...are we 100% certain we can't roll the dice with Luke and Dereon? Not suggesting it's optimal, but I wouldn't be over the moon upset if we only brought in a serviceable backup or a QB who wasn't guaranteed a spot for less money and then, shifted the other money into grabbing a coup;le of game breakers at different positions.

Having said that, I'm sure Mario has someone secretly who will be greeat for us. The ONLY scenario I don't want is for us to blindly give the reins to Williams. If we don't get someone great out of the portal, I say - let's let Luke and Dereon fight it out and bring in a new QB coach if need be.

Commence the over the top push back in 3...2...1...
Not heresy…

But there will be a portal QB and they know who it’s going to be.

Could Coleman be our guy in two years tho as a redshirt freshman? He can put on size in a year. Julian Sayin did it for OSU. It can be done. We need to stop chasing portals every year and build something sustainable.

Why does everyone hate Nickel all of a sudden?

I see Mario going portal this year. But I will continue to say this. Dereon Coleman is the future. I just hope it's with Miami. Bookmark this.

Final 8 teams in playoff all had transfer quarterbacks.

dummies on message boards:

"We need to develop our own freshmen players!"

The problem is you need to have a fall back option on your roster that isn't terrible. You need a plan B that is already on your team. Because the strategy can't be we go to the portal and if we strike out we're gonna win 7 games next year.

That's the problem I have with this. Go after a portal guy every year, fine. But you need someone on your roster capable of winning games.

I got a feeling Simpson might be the guy.I think after Sorsby went to TT and it doesn’t look real good with Levitt Mario went and talked him out of the league .

Now who’d you rather have him or Levitt ?
