I surely hope that the powers that be don’t go cheap after the Richt experiment failed. I hope we open up the checkbook and go get a savage that’ll put us back on the map.

Edit- I hope they don’t think - We spent money on the last hire and got the same crap result he have in the past but for twice the money.

We really have no idea as a fan base about anything our program is doing do we? Richt made top 15 money. Our DC was like the 3rd or 4th highedt paid coordinator in America. It’s not the money. It’s the laziness and the philosophy

I never said he was cheap, just the opposite. Maybe I could’ve worded it differently. I hope they don’t think — we spent money on the last hire and got the same results so why do it again.

I could see them doing that. Get a guy with no resume and assume the base hates him by year three. Same results either way.

Yeah, but we have with every other hire in our history. One hire does not a trend make.

That being said, I firmly believe our days of going cheap are over. We might spend less on our next HC, but I bet we spend more on assistants. If one thing the Richt era taught us is you can’t have two high paid coaches and a bunch of scrubs. I think we balance things out this time.

LOL Richt was no where near cheap. In fact with Richt they completely went opposite of what they did with Coker , Shannon and Folden . So that really doesn't apply. But they can't pay 5 million either. They will be in the 1.5-3 Mil a year range IMO .
