Playoff Committee is Phucked in the head!

It was cute how they gave Clemson the 1 spot just so they could get away with putting 2 $EC teams in the top 4.

Lol. That was my first reaction too. Then I thought, they hate us so much, anyone who throttles us 58-0 has got to be tops in their book.

It's set up for lsu to lose this week and swap spots with Bama.

This thing is set up for constant two sec schools. It's a joke actually.

At a minimum, they have set it up so The SEC has a locked spot in the playoff. If LSU was the only SEC school in and loses to Bama, it might let two Big 12 or Big 10 schools in. Even the setup sucks... The nation really wants to see an LSU vs Bama rematch? We did that once before and it was lame.

Yep it's a hoax.

Not worried. Butch Davis will change all that noise.

How the **** is Memphis #13 and Houston is #25 after shutting out a SEC team? So if Ole Miss wins out and Memphis goes undefeated, does Memphis go to the playoffs? Probably not, but they should. It needs to be 8 teams for this **** to really work.

Bama is #4 . Bama is talented............but they loss to a two loss Ole Miss team, who was whipped in those two losses.

Clemson's dismissal of Folden meant a lot..............#1

5 turnovers will do you in. Bama is in the top 4,

ole miss forced those turnovers so your point is kind of weak. BAMA has suspect qb play and this isn't anywhere near the best defense they've fielded and that's without them facing any offensive powerhouses other than TAMU.

it's too early to gripe
Clemson has their future in their hands, win out - get a spot
TCU, Baylor, OSU and OK all play on another, if any of them sweep out - they get a spot
LSU/Bama play - winner get the Gates for SEC and spot
finally, OSU/MSU/Iowa winner gets spot

now, any losses by these top teams and it's back to the drawing board
and one of those of Houston/Memphis get a shot
ND, Pac 12 like Stanford will lurk until the end and get bump if they win out and a top 6 team slips
perfect world, LSU wins, and then slips against one of their final 3 games (miss, a&m, championship game)
Florida loses to FSU and then beat LSU...

ah, its fun to map this out
can't wait for us to be relevant in 20 years

New System allows the "Phucked In the Head" Committee to MAKE EXCUSES FOR A TEAM'S (EX BAMA) POOR PERFORMANCE!

Still too early.
I think they should do away number rankings until the very end.
Instead of 1 through whatever, the teams should be listed in tiers. Four teams in Tier 1, 6 teams in Tier 2, and 10 Teams in Tier 3.
With this system you eliminate teams questioning how they went from #1 to out of the playoffs, or how a team jumps from #8 to a playoff spot. And how is it possible to numerically differentiate between some of these teams anyway?
There's no specific reason why I chose 6 teams for Tier 2 other than the assumed Top 10 teams being represented.

Stress certainly has been lessened these past dozen Novembers.

Reading this thread tells me that most people here simply do NOT understand the purpose of the playoff committee. Their #1 goal is to justify an 8 team playoff, not to pick the correct four teams for the current setup.

Think Big pitchure, peopleZ.
