Players Who Need to Go

From what I saw from tonight a number one recruiting class isn’t fixing talent issues on the field. Unless there’s a massive overhaul in the portal or coaching scheme we will be trash next year also.
Yes.

We could get the number recruiting class and it won't matter. Next year looks to be just as bad. Unfortunately, people would still just say star rankings don't matter and all those top recruits must be all bust.

Some people think 50 or so players will leave or be kicked out, and Mario will bring in 50 top flight, highly recruited impact players.

These kids know they are D2, FCS, or G5 at best. They got scholarships from Diaz bc its all he could get. They know they aren't going pro. They're here to have fun and maybe get some NIL pocket money.

They're not gonna leave. They're not going anywhere. They lucked out and will ride it as long as the can bc they don't want it to end.

We had enough talent last year, many of the same players have returned, to beat a top 15 team in Pitt last year. We were more competitive against Bama and Michigan State last year than we were tonight. So keep up with the talent issue. If it's a talent issue then Manny should have gotten the Coach of the Year last year and Lashlee should have been the Broyles award winner. This is largely the same team as last year plus a major influx of talent on the DL.
We do not have any receivers and our best RBs are hurt. The defense is playing just like last year and the offense lost its best players. This is not the same team on offense outside van dyke

How does that happen. He’s not just some recruit...he was Miami’s highest rated QB recruit since Kyle Wright. He seemed as likely to fail as you would think Rashada is going to be an absolute bust.
Was he really the highest QB recruit? Just watching him he seems to have real issues processing plays. Watching him in pregame he is accurate but really only explanation I have.

Manny recruits (transfer and portal) went over 50% blue chip in 2021. These were four or five star players that many schools would have wanted. It was the highest blue chip ratio since Coker, and the first time we had been over 50% since Coker. I will say that offensive line was by far the weakest recruited position on the team, followed by linebacker and corner.

You mean Brashard Smith, Restrepo, and Jacolby George? 3 receivers most on this board were pretty excited for after the last handful games last year. All 3 made some big plays down the stretch last year and looked like up and coming players. Apparently Colbie Young will fall into the same category, he killed it for 3-4 games earlier but we couldn't find a way to get the ball in his hands tonight. Gattis and Cristobal must have been masterminds those games to get him to break out like that. Right?

It's the corching & scheme. No other explanation. He has regressed majorly. Looked really good in the spring game. Has looked worse and worse as the season progresses. Now that he's sitting there not used to his pocket collapsing and **** scheme with nobody getting open, he tries to force it, and now its mental for him. He goes out there trying to do too much or trying to not make a stupid play and ends up doing both.
He needs a reset with a new QB coach and scheme and an offseason. He still has the tools to be a great QB. I've said it before his mechanics & release are much better than TVD. He just needs more pocket awareness, decision making, and a scheme he's comfortable with.

I fully believe he is save-able. That just has to come with some development and time. Not being thrown out there on 3rd down on your own 2 yard line behind a depleted O line.

That's how it seems but they're overrated. We didn't "win recruiting battles" against top teams for these kids. Other top teams didn't want them or prioritize them at all.

The oline is embarrassing. It reminds me of watching dolphins games last year. The QB has no time. These freshman legit may come in and start day 1.

Remember when Mario said this wasnt a rebuild and he expected to win now....

As toxic a program as there is in any sport in the country and wont get better until everyone associated with the glory days at Miami is gone and they hire an Urban Meyer type elite coach....

Just hope Mario stocks the roster cause he aint gonna win anything big at Miami...

What happens if a bunch of the players that suck are still on the team next year & they continue to get playing time?
It’s on the **** coaches. If players suck, then u need to coach them up or get the ones behind them to get better or you need to go and get urself better portal players.. Mario completely struck out on the portal. That’s on him.

Easy to do considering there's only a handful at best.

Restrepo, Parrish, Borregales

Maybe Mesidor and Jacurri for bench depth?

Give some young players a pass for a little more time to develop like Wesley?

Need about 80 new scholarship players.
**** whoever the new punter will be we won't need him either at the rate we turn the ball over who needs a punter

Notice that Gaddis was insistent on calling plays from the booth earlier in the year, buy now he's down on the field. It ain't getting any better.
Worse. 2 games, 17 points from 5 FGs and a 2 point conversion in OT.

Do you know who recruited these players? But coaches don’t throw interceptions, coaches don’t tackle (these players have had issues tackling for years), coaches don’t jump offsides or hold. I understand what you are saying about discipline but the coaches are not playing in the game. Garcia is litterly the worst QB I have seen play at Miami. Outside of some decent dlineman where else does Miami have any talent?

Kirby Freeman was worse than Garcia.
