Players wanted Diaz

Worst hire the program has ever made, baseball basketball or football. Bar none.

And the millennials and chick fans are eating it up bc the guy invented a necklace. Unreal.

Nah Richt was worse...it was obvious before he got here he was already in retirement mode. Well, it was obvious to some of us at least.

I have no doubt Manny with fight and claw....but at this point all I care about is who he names as his OC. That's going to be the last straw for me.

This is reality. In this reality...you have to show recruits you can WIN....and consistently. Otherwise have fun amassing a roster full of 3 stars. Kids are fickle nowadays, deal with it.

The ******* goal here is compete with the Bama's of the world....only way to do that is to stockpile as much talent as you can and combine that with good X and O coordinators.

In this reality there is a football season with thousands of games and then Alabama wins.

We need to innovate if you want to be the next Alabama.

If you want to be Clemson’s ***** in the ACCCG 7/10 years and be stagnant for a decade we could’ve just stuck with Richt,

The fans may be ****ed but all I read about is how excited the players and recruits are with the hire.. Sounds like he’s made a huge impression in the community.
Manny is SFL! He has an attractive product to sell the kids! Richt was ancient and played out!

Let Diaz get his OC, and I really hope it’s a legit one and not his buddy! We been there and done that!

The AD said they will do anything to make Diaz hire a success when it come to who he wants as coordinators and assistant coaches. But I will take the ADS word with a grain of salt until I see it.

But we need to give the guy a fighting chance. After all he and his defense was the only thing keeping us excited during this difficult season!

No winning, no quality players....period. We are one of the few schools who could amass the talent to challenge Bama...but for that to happen we need competent gameday coaching first. That's something we haven't had around here in over 20 years.

How is Manny Diaz an innovator? His defense is a combo of a zone blitz and a 2-read. Aka something that has existed for almost 30 years.

Worst hire of all time. I look forward to the toxicity.

And yet he couldn't recruit for ****.

Manny is a Nole. He didn't go to UM. Worst hire of all time. And you slurp it up.

At FSU he wore UM shirts when there. Sometimes you are out in a difficult situation and just have to make the best of it.

The guy is all about this U!

dog this is a bad hire to me and wont end well thats how i see it
It doesn’t have to be a good hire. In the past 36 months the BoT and the new President has shown us two incredibly valuable qualities:
1. Their brand is their livelihood and they’re going to pay big money for it.
2. They’re tired of getting ****ed around and will make moves. They’ll make it so uncomfortable for you that you’ll leave $18 million on the table.

Y’all are complaining that we’re making moves and innovating. Winners fail constantly; life is a constant risk/reward analysis. Losers get comfy and maintain status quo.

Right now there are two distinct oppositions to the Diaz hire:
1. The camp that directly or indirectly sees the drastic change in operating mentality and are frightened of change.
2. The camp that wants progress and thinks this is status quo.

Camp 2 should not fear. Manny might suck. He might be great. He might be average. Doesn’t matter. The decision makers are evolving.

lol at them evolving...............cant make this up. The typical lazy hire is evolving like no one saw that coming......evolving is going and getting a guy so proven that we didnt even expect it......thats evolving

Manny Diaz isn’t an innovator. That is, I honestly have no idea.

The decision makers making streamlined decisions, selling the losers, holding the winners, throwing money around, being aggressive, pressing people towards the door - the decision makers are evolving.

We’re not paying Saban, Meyer, Riley or Swinney.

We’ll lose in a bidding war - easily.

And they’re boosters provide benefits and gifts that probably outpace an entire contract at UM in one year.

So be a big boy and join us in reality where we’re a slightly below average ACC program in terms of winning and facilities. We need to trend in a direction. Brown v Board effectively ended Jim Crowe but there was 15 cases over 50 years that built up to it, and 30 years of petitioning after it to actually implement it. This **** isn’t magic, you don’t snap your fingers and get lucky and Nick Saban is your coach. If you want your status quo **** then follow Richt. He’s about as proven as a winner that we’ll pull. Life lasts longer than the very second that just passed, have some foresight.

The BOT and the president didn’t make it uncomfortable for anyone to leave $18 million on the table. According to them, they wanted Richt to return and were totally blindsided by this decision. Essentially they lucked into Richt leaving $18 million on the table. I’m all for them evolving and prioritizing winning but that’s not what happened.

exactly.

richt had the upper hand the whole time, and if ya'll think for a SECOND he just decided to **** over his son and his adopted kids whilest simultaneously ****ing away tens of millions of dollars, then you are a fool.

plus look at the mouth-breathers he was dealing with

The kids always lobby for someone inhouse because they feel like its family. They dont have a business is business mentality yet.

So by your math we're going into year 16 of an 80 year plan to desegregate the suck out of UM football. Apparently I haven't been nearly as forward thinking as I should be. Thanks for straightening me out.
