Alabama complained about playcalling then Tua came
Louisville is supposed to have amazing playcalling then lamar left
LSU had terrible playcalling then burrow came
Notre Dame had terrible playcalling then Book came

We have terrible playcalling until we get an offensive line. Only so much trickery can be done without an offensive line.
Everyone loves Oklahomas offense but they have a dominant o line and great quarterbacks in recent years. Wait till we get a better o line and perry matures and we could be dominant

Sorry Matty but I agree with the first post --- this board gives the QB credit for 4 TDs but zero love to the play caller ... ever since we hired clappy this board seems destined to hate our head coach

Three of the four was on short fields after the defense set them up.

The playcalling is atrocious, FSU literally lined up and blitzed the a/b gaps repeatedly and Richt never adjusted. Which is an embarrassment for any power five oc.

Outnumbering us inside but giving us the numbers outside, yet we did nothing to exposed that. Straight up amateur hour.

****, since before Clappy... I was a kid, but I distinctly remember fans complaining about Butch for being a bad gameday coach in 99/00

I mean we run and pass and mix it up nicely. Receivers are running downfield wide open!!! When we get a more dominant o line and perry gets more experienced and composed we will hit those guys consistently.

Yea, there's some on here obsessed with hating whoever our coach is, it's weird.

The play calling is fine and the people who incessantly whine over it should just get a hobby because if you think Coach is giving that up, they are foolish.

It's really just the cliche people on here go to when the offense struggles. OL getting zero push in the run game? Play calling. QB missing wide open receivers? Play calling. They cry about motion and want to see end arounds and ****.

No wonder why they are fans and not coaches, except on Madden.

OPs point is a massive oversimplification.

I am a 100%, ride or die CMR backer, but the play calling yesterday was inexplicable.

This offense has virtually no creativity. There are low risk, QB friendly ways to get guys the ball in space.

We arent doing that at all.

Somebody that gets the point to the *****ing.

Invoking the names of all the teams who have overcome their offensive struggles does not mean the same is true for our team and Mark Rick. What you do not mention is that that their HC is not their OC and some fired their OC to better their offense. Richt should do the same and not be a placeholder for his son. Nepotism will prevail here watch and see

I agree with you that playcalling is fine, but more creativity is needed. I see people asking for more motion in the offense but I could care less for motioning as it only indicates whether a defense is playing man or zone coverage. I would like to see more formations added to our offense. We run the same formations over and over again. It makes the play predictable. We should use a variety of formations to leverage our athletes and force the defense to constantly adjust to us. People give Richt a lot of grief for playcalling but the plays are there to be made. Think about this, there were 3 drops and 4 inaccurate throws that should have been easily completed. Hit those and were praising today instead of being critics. More about execution than anything.

Our players are constantly tasked with out performing our coaching staff. Been that way for years unfortunately.

Coach Richt has a dozen money plays & I have no doubt the answers to our limp **** offense are in that playbook ( IFormation + flex Brevin ??? Choc / Realist ??? Power ? Off Tackle with a lead ??? Etc.. PA off that ... ). We need a offensive strategiest / playcaller.

We are LOADED in the backfield & have more than enough outside. We need to minimize our deficiencies ( OL ) and maximize our strengths via scheme. Get the most from what we have and STACK chips on the trail.

Just My Outlook. Seen allot of good ball. Seen more than enough bad ball in my time.

God Bless Manny Diaz. El Jefe

Lmao yeah no.

First we thought it was Rosier but there’s a bigger problem when Richt is calling the same plays and has barely any creativity in his playcalling. He doesn’t make the defense think at all, he calls plays that rely on a good OL, maybe he should switch it up get the ball out of Perry hands faster? You can’t sit there and say playcalling is fine.

Nah the play calling was ***.

I spent the whole game yelling "SCREEN IT!"and "THROW A BUBBLE!" because those are plays you don't need an O-line to run (see FSU TE screen). It's like Richt doesn't get the QB's in a grove. I ain't saying bubble screen them to death but they were stacking the box all game. It would of help had we spread them out and hit them with some effective bubble screens. It could of hopefully get them out of that 2 deep look but all we did was pound the ball.

Also Perry needs to keep some of these read options. He just has to show he is willing to pull because that was the was problem with Kaaya so everyone just ran after the RB. That is what Rosier provided in the run game.
