Play Calling IS impacted by your QB

Lots of post around play calling which clearly could be better however we are handcuffed by the talent at QB
- Look at Bama this year with Tua vs Jalen Hurts last year
- Saban had his OC call very conservative games all last year and should have lost 2 games
- Why .........bc his QB was average
- This year he gets a stud at QB and suddenly play calling is "state of the art"

Always said that we took Brad Kaaya for granted -- with an average QB, we would be a 1 loss team

Cant win without some talent at QB

Was the other qb that much better then rosier or perry? I’ll save you some time. The answer is “no”. His coach was >>>>>> richt. Are you ******* blind or just a ****ig retsrd
 
I was willing to give CMR the benefit of the doubt but after this week its plain as day his best days playcalling are well beyond him.

Please don't draw any comparisons to Bama and Saban, not only are they irrelevant, they don't help your cause. Yes, they weren't happy with their quarterback. Yes, they went and got another one who in less than a year was ready to play on the biggest stage. We have signed three quarterbacks and are still starting a Golden leftover.
 
Any Big12 OC could have this team putting up video game numbers on offense with the exception of Rosier at QB
 
IMO I didn't think the play calling was that bad.
Saw some WR and RB screens, DJ Dallas Wildcat that scored, some under the center stuff, some drag routes, a QB sneak on 3rd and 1 instead of the predictable FB dive that does work. Rosier and the O-line were the bigger problem because Rosier missed short throws that would of moved the chains

My problem was that you can't have a methodical drive with a QB this inaccurate with virtually no running game to boot.

BUT.. I'm not going to starting up a "Richt can call plays" crowd because he has shown time and time again he isn't that good at it. There isn't any flow and the personnel use is bad. We finally used drag routes but get who is running them? Wiggins and Langham. A Route made for speedster being ran by players who aren't speedster or who creates in space.
 
I was in denial just like you. Hoping uva was a fluke or an emotional low after FSU.

What? maleek forgot how to throw? You are aware that this guy played last year right and won some games. He beat ND and VT but can’t beat uva or bc?? It’s a coaching problem period.

Please tell me who is responsible to find and develop qbs in this team because it looks like no one is. This is the third year that this clown is in charge and what do we have. Our starting qb is a 3 star recruited by golden. The second and third string are air heads which were recruited by MR and Williams, our only hope is not ready to execute the 7 plays that MR have in the playbook. This year we are not even recruiting a qb that we know of.

So please tell me who is responsible that we don’t have talent at qb.

Have you even watched Bama this year or know anything about them? Hurts looks much better as a passer this season than last in his limited opportunities.

So what changed? They hired a new playcaller and more importantly hired a qualified Qb coach in Dan Enos.

Stop protecting Mork and son.

Didn't we lose 4 straight with Kayaa .....including against a ND team that lost like 8 games that year

Their playcalling didnt seem to be too handcuffed by their 2-3 star QB
 
Yeah great. We have bad QB's paired with terrible play calling. Not necessarily the recipe for success.
