Pitt vs UNC

I was a student and the student section was close to the end zone where Shockey caught the pass - it was awesome and I remember us all jumping up and down, high fiving, hugging each other, etc. It was definitely awesome. It was also hot as **** that day.

Of course it sucked a few weeks later when the BCS computers kept us out of the MNC and we had to watch FSU lose to OU 13-2.

I was also fortunate enough to go to the Rosebowl win over Nebraska which was great, but it wasn't nearly as climatic since it was a blowout pretty much from the start of the game. Still awesome though.
Underappreciated fact is that was Parent's weekend that year and our son was a freshman. We were at the Game sitting elsewhere. After the game he was a red as a beet and could barely talk.

Pittsburgh Post G has been trashing Running Mouth Narduzzi...wouldn’t surprise me if he went back to Michigan State. Jurkovec got hurt in the 2nd qtr & never returned.
I think MSU taking Narduzzi would be the safe conservative play that is not going to get them to where they apparently want to go. He is they type of coach that will keep them respectable, occasionally pull some upsets, but if their goal is to compete with the OSUs, Michigans, USCs, Oregons, Washingtons, and (next tier) PSUs and Wisconsins of the world, he is not going to get them there. To be honest, I don't know if anyone is but I think they would be better taking more of a risk with higher potential rewards.

Dad, is that you?

I don't know if anyone can realistically get them to that level. Never say never, but that's gonna be a heavy lift. If Narduzzi would keep himself to defense and overall program management while allowing a legit OC to run their scheme I think he would do much better overall.

Yeah, I agree - hence my last sentence.

I just think MSU hiring him would be putting out a message that they are ok with 'pretty good' which they may need to do after the Tucker situation, but personally I would roll the dice on a higher risk/higher reward candidate if I was them.

Yo do you remember this?

Between this, the wide rights, the bad call in the ND game, Blohio st., etc etc.

****, even the 93 championship against Alabama and the Teague strip of Lamar when he chased him down (even though the play never counted due to offsides on the D.

These things have definitely lowered my life expectancy. Weird how much I hate the bad call in the Blohio st game, but I will never forget watching Teague chase Thomas down.

Like you I would roll the dice on a higher risk/reward type of hire. But I'm not responsible for the image of the university. Lol. I'm leaning toward them taking the safe higher even if it is just a stop gap for PR reasons.
