TVD gives zero f's about these stats I bet. Hate being so torn about wanting a W vs knowing an L is likely better long term for the program.

Is it really, though? Short of winning out, you have to think Manny is gone after the season. And winning out probably shows us that, somehow, maybe he's not the world's worst coach. So, of course, I'm too invested in the kids to ever root for them to lose. But I'm not even sure that accepting a loss is better for the program is the correct approach either. IMO what will happen, will happen, in regards to the staff. Does a win tomorrow really save his job, long-term? Depends on how the next 4 go after that. So, in a vacuum, I don't think tomorrow's game has much bearing on that. Hope the kids go win it.

On top of that, wins keep the players happy. Happy players don't transfer.

don't be torn about a W/L. look if the problems as clear as they are aren't enough to get Manny fired where we just need more losses, then he wasn't ever gonna get fired. if finishing the year (likely 6-6) isn't enough then all you got fooled by the insiders. ill support the kids who haven't given up yet

Redzone defense and passing defense are pitiful.

Here is the equalizer.....
Pitts opponents excluding Pitt games are a combined 22-22
Miami opponents excluding CCSU and Miami games are a combined 30-8

Pitt is scared shatless of Miami right now with UNC and VA on the horizon.

That’s the thing I keep saying Pitt may very well win and they look like the better team, but their schedule to this point has been a lot easier than ours. Their stats need to be taken with a grain of salt knowing that we would have a lot better stats if we played their weak schedule.

If Mannys career here pivots on if he beats Pitt, we are screwed either way. I root for the win, but I have very little emotion left in a loss.

I hear you. I am pretty much numb at this point to losses and see it in a sense as a win if it drives a nail in the coffin. But it seems that the wheels were set in motion much earlier and it is a foregone conclusion no matter what happens. I think he stays though until end of the season. The players seem to be hungry and playing hard for him.
