My thoughts on the 2 games following ND were:

1.) We cut thru UVA and get caught sleeping in PITT

or

2.) We come out sluggish vs UVA, wake up in the 2nd half, and our season officially STARTS. I posted this immediately following the ND game, and some of you fxcksticks lambasted me.

I'm going with the latter of the 2.

We easily outmatched the Hoo's across the board, yet our top-ranked D morphed their QB into a Unitas prototype.
Obviously our D woke up going into and in the 2nd half.
THAT, was our wake up call.

This team will be amped up for our final game of the regular season, and they will make a momentum-building statement going into the ACCCG.

It's officially on, my Canes brethren.

It's strange because it seemed, at least for a half that Manny Diaz was playing a lot of super bland coverages against Virginia. Not sure what he's holding back for. By game 10, everything is already on tape. Might as well bring the total package every week.

I don't think this is a trap game. It's going to be an odd game. Friday at 12 noon. I think Pitt is going to try every trick play they have.

The slow starts are over. Homer will cross the 1000 yard mark in this game.

With UVA we had ND hangover. With Pitt we could be looking ahead to Clemson.

We're much better than Pitt, and I'd like to see a start to finish effort, but even if we start slow we should be able to turn it on and win comfortably.

I think the look-ahead's are over. Our season comes down to two games.
It won't be difficult to concentrate on each one exclusively, especially after the lesson we hopefully learned in the 1st half vs UVA.

Every game in CFB against a supposedly inferior opponent is a trap game these days. I would not be surprised at all if this game is close for a while and we trail at some point. It's simply the way this season has gone **** near every game. Rosier and the boys will make some plays and pull away late.

Collect that 16th in a row and on to Clempsun.

its not a trap game this week.

we got punched in the mouth last game by a decent Virginia team with a nfl caliber qb.

last week was a veteran well coached team with a senior qb

this week is a true freshman qb. it will get ugly

It may have been if we blew out UVA. I think our guys are gonna get their asses chewed all week.

After not waking up until the second half against VA does anyone here really believe they will do the same in a game that will.put a stamp on.first undefeated regular season since 2002. I find it hard to believe Canes will not dominate Pitt start to finish..

Every play is on tape. But not when we tend to call them

It's not a trap game, they are a half decent team that will beat you if we don't prepare and play well. They have lost 2 games by 3 points and should have beaten VT at Blacksburg this past Saturday. Come out prepared and play well and we will win. There is no home field for them, their stadium is as empty as ours was in the late Golden era and all the students will be on break. It's going to be an odd Friday noon game, in an 80% empty stadium in weather we have not experienced.

We are not considering our stadium and crowd which is huge and an understatement. They are our twelfth man. Can't believe no one but Hebstreit is concerned. Even the players talk about their affect. We better start realizing it. It's not called the home field advantage for nothing.

We say every game is a trap game.

It's lazy analysis.

We could lose to Pitt, but it won't have anything to do with the "trap game" theory.

First, Miami is a SLOW STARTING TEAM. And second of all, Coach Mark Richt DOES'T care to ' run it up ' on teams. For instance, he burnt clock the entire fourth quarter against mighty ND. And Miami could have easily scored another TD. dUh. Even at Georgia Coach Mark Richt ' burnt clock ' when his Bulldogs had a COMFORTABLE second-half lead.

Bottom line: Coach Mark Richt avoids embarrassing opponents and running up the score on said opponents. hUh.

A big DUH back. Never once did I mention run the score up. I am very aware Richt rarely if ever does that. You said it yourself. He burnt the clock whole 4th quarter against ND. That is domination also
