While true in the past I think the portal era nullifies that some. Alot of our guys have experience playing in the cold...Thomas from Tenn, Lucas from Wisconsin, O'Conner from Wash St, Toure from Rutgers, Scott and Lightfoot played HS ball in Chicago. On Offense u have Beck from UGA, Daniels at Liberty, Marion out west at BYU, Marty Brown from North Dakota st...feel like this team is much tougher than a lot of those soft *** teams we used to have. Atleast id hope.
Mesidor is from Canada…

Edit: (I know, not portal, but just adding to the cold *** places.)

I wouldn’t do that twice in one year. The next chance to break the 18 year streak will likely be next season at UNC. 0-11ish in road games since 2007! You saw how flukey SMU became? Just really thought we’d beat SMU. My fault, man.
0-11 all road? Or airplane only ?

He actually did spend a season at WVU before transferring in. When I looked it said he played HS ball for Clearwater but youre right he is from Canada so add him to the list. I also dont see guys like Bain, Mauigoa, Cooper being bothered by cold weather. This team feels way tougher than a lot of those soft a$$ teams we had under lesser coaches. Lets hope

Does the Playoff Committee not take Style Points/Eye Test into consideration if teams are playing in near freezing weather conditions?

Could this weather be a blessing for our Canes?

Just win is all U need?

Signed,

Peruche

As long as the qb and recievers can handle the cold...
.. still remember the days of heated benches and hand warmers at 45 degrees at some forsaken bowl game

This is the one game that I think both of our lines need to dominate. I believe Bain and Mesidor will ball out like they did in September. On the offensive side, I want to see us move Pitt's dline back all game

That's crisp cold fun weather if the wind isn't a factor...wind is the great equalizer in the cold. I've hiked in 20 degrees with still air and it was lovely but high winds and 45 degrees on a ridgeline sucks ballz.
Same situation with golf in the winter.

30° and sunny and no wind is way more enjoyable than 45° and windy and cloudy.

Stop with the cold weather nonsense.

100%, I lived in Utah and it could be 30 and sunny and you could almost wear short sleeves.
Stop with the cold weather nonsense.

The ball is harder to grip when it's below freezing cause the skin isn't sticky.

When it comes to cold games, which this will be one, just make sure to be the hammer not the nail. When you fall forward instead of on your back on a frozen turf, it feels wayyyy better.

Sunny cold weather is different then windy damp cold, which is more East coast.
It hits your bones it sucks.

I've played ball with snow up to my ankles in -15 Celsius weather in late October (Northern ontario Canada). You just deal with it and better hope you have a really good running game with trick plays is all.
