until they get punched in the mouth. That's an old saying that they used to use before Mike Tyson fights back in the day.Everybody got a plan

CB Raion Strader will shadow Toney.....”We have a great scheme for him and are confident. We’re going to bring it to him”.
I would not start off that nonsensical brabble with "Shutting down Mali is easy". Makes people think things...Shutting down Mali is easy and they will probably will. He is not a big guy like jeremiah Smith.
Dawson for whatever reason doesn’t allow Mali to play multiple positions like Ohio State does with Smith. It makes it harder to scheme. They will do what Clemson did.
It is very hard to bracket or double out the slot because it leaves a lot of single coverage on the outside. While Mali may not have a great game statistically, he will contribute to many plays because of his gravity which will leave his teammates open.

Pitt will be called for holding/PI imo. They’re one of (if not) the most penalized ACC teams when it comes defensive holding.I would not start off that nonsensical brabble with "Shutting down Mali is easy". Makes people think things...
Anyway, it's funny that you mentioned Clemson as the example for shutting down Toney. The CB running with Toney was grabbing his jersey all game and should've been flagged on multiple occasions. They also failed to cover Toney on multiple occasions as well, it was just the pressure not allowing deeper patterns to develop. And also, we ****ed up on the big TD that was called back.
Bracketing a receiver is not easy regardless of the alignment. Becomes even more difficult out of the slot once you start to use bunch formations, picks, run screens and all that stuff. The man has more receiving production in one half of a season over most guys having that total in a year. If it was that easy to shut him down, everyone would've done just that.
