Pitt CB Strader: “We’re going to bring it to Toney"

[the storm]

CB Raion Strader will shadow Toney.....”We have a great scheme for him and are confident. We’re going to bring it to him”.

Best of luck to them. You'd think teams would have learned after all that talking our opponents did in the playoffs. But I guess not.

Pre- Cotton bowl 1990… Stanley Richard the “sheriff” shot his mouth off how Texas was gonna do this and do that….
That didn’t work out well for him….

Sounds like Barkate, Upshaw, Lofton, Jacob’s will all be left one on one

[RozayCane]

Seriously why haven’t players learned not to do this.. love that he did. Not that Mali needs extra juice.. but man this kids just don’t learn

[RealRussellPumps]

Strader is a **** good CB in his own right. WIll likely see him as the primary defender on Mali with help to try and limit him in the game. Other guys will have to step up if that is the case.

#1 receiver or #1 decoy, doesn't matter. Toney is going to make an impact on every game.

Bro just got himself blocked all the way into the bench area multiple times. Mali isn't gonna talk about it.. he's gonna be about it.

Hope we figure out a deep ball option this game

Dre needs to run past some one for multiple TDs. Been waiting all year

Hasn't gotten enough opportunities, plainly.

We've had multiple opportunities and the line hasn't held up long enough. Mensah has also missed a couple where I thought he came off his spot a little earlier than he had to. Again, OL related, but it's also the QBs job to help them. Flat-out pressure is one thing, but a slightly collapsing pocket needs to be navigated and the ball still delivered. IMO from what I've watched it's a combination of either him being flat pressured or a non-perfect pocket causing him to come off his spot when he really doesn't have to.

Dawson talked about this earlier in the week, FWIW. But the shots in the deep middle have been there multiple times a game.

Send Lofton out on a LB into Toney's exhaust trail and let him break off 25 yd chunks
