The Miami Board of Trustees is shrewdly pinching pennies, trying to Save A Dollar on the Mario Buyout.

Meanwhile, Mario himself is headed for a possible Playoff Spot and has Phil Knight money behind him. At the same time, the Florida and USC jobs are about to open up.

Never underestimate the cat like reflexes of the Board of Trustees of the University of Miami.

There have been plenty of insiders telling us we'll see a new commitment to success from the BOT.

We’re all in the same boat of Gilded Mediocrity together, my Brother. Ever since Donna let the football team start to go to seed back in the Coker days it’s been one misadventure after another.

And now, suddenly, we’re supposed to believe that the Board has found Football Jesus? GTFOH….

But the board does change its membership and the discontent there has reached critical mass.

Did anyone watch the Oregon game yesterday? Their QB didn't even throw for 100 yards and the game was very close against an average Washington team. I will say the Oregon QB is pretty bad, so Mario and the Ducks may be winning in spite of their QB.

It may look really ugly if they play in a playoff game though.

It’s going to be VERY ugly for Oregon if they run into Georgia or Ohio State again.

All the Oregon Boosters are expecting out of Mario this year is to get to the playoffs and have a respectable showing. They know that PAC-12 teams have small offensive lines relative to the big SEC and B1G schools, and Cristobal has told them as much. Alone among the PAC-12, Cristobal has imported SEC line play, which you saw yesterday as Oregon took control of that game in the Second Half.

But Oregon isn’t in a position to be dominant out of conference yet. You’ll see that in the playoffs.

Not saying Oregon is a juggernaut by any means, but they flat-out stuck it to Ohio State in Columbus even with Kayvon Thibodeaux out with an ankle injury.

OSU is getting extra-credit for those teams they've run out there the last few years and their string of highly-ranked recruiting classes.

Buckeyes ain't all that this season.
