It's not a facemask. It's pass interference. If a facemask occurs while the pass is in the air, it's not a facemask but instead it's pass interference.

The refs got the call right. and once again CIS gurus are dumb as ****.

Hold up, didn't the Rutgers db knock the ref to the ground... shouldn't that be an automatic ejection? Also Horton didn't catch that ball cleanly before he hit the boundary... at least we get a first either way

They called it DPI so we decline and take the catch. If they would have called Facemask, yes you're correct

Now they'll review catch / no catch and we will take the DPI call at spot if its ruled a no catch.

Its a pointless review because either WA we get the ball at that spot

And here’s where I date myself, anyone else remember 95 or 96 when Rutgers greased their goal posts before the Miami game in anticipation they’d knock off the mighty Canes? Miami won but it got me thinking, is there any chance that mentality is still there, beating Miami as something significant?

the facemark was the pass interference. not on the tackle, so it's either the catch or the penalty whatever is more yards.

Facepask is alway yards, even in addition to a positive play. That’s why calling PI and not face ask hurts Miami
