I still think they should have went with this idea for the games outside of FSU.

The school says they've sold 40,000 season tickets. If just those people show up, it'll be an improvement.

If they tarp off the endzones as projected for lesser games then 40k would look look just fine with some no shows and single game ticket buyers.

Being 60% full for the Wake Forrests of the world is fine, just cant have the 25% full for VT as it was for the Thurs game (national) 2-3 years back.

The only problem is the people that pay for upper endzone season tickets might get ****ed.

Well yeah, it's out now that they sold tickets there.

Anyone else really hate the teal seats? At least the orange went with our team but this crap is ridiculous. I know its been beaten for over a decade but we need a stadium so bad.

The AQUA seats are way better than orange seats. Those things were an eyesore. Color of the seats won't matter if we just show up and fill them

Question about cooling...for the early games with high humidity, there will no longer be a breeze due to the canopy. Wont it be ridiculously hot?

There was no breeze before they put the canopy up. Unless you sit in the nosebleeds.

And yes, Cincy in 2014 was the hottest sporting even I've ever been to.

That wasn't close to FSU 2000

Respectfully disagree. While it was pretty **** hot that day, the breeze coming through the open east end of the Orange Bowl took a bit of the edge off it. Even the hottest games in the OB were pleasant compared to the dead stagnant heat in SLS. There's no breeze whatsoever and it feels like an oven.

stupid question but ... how do you get the cranes out of there?

They pick each other up. The last one uses skyhooks for support. Then they can be moved laterally, depending on their cabling. Of course, it has to be done on a calm day because the wind can wreak havoc with the ballet.

Because of that Cincy game, I can no longer reproduce. I could have baked biscuits next to my balls.

I was wearing dark gray shorts and the change inside my pocket got so hot that I burned my hand pulling out a quarter at the beer stand. Ok, not like a blistering burn but it was extremely hot to the touch. A light singe, if you will.

You're going to get negged b/c you're complaining, however, I mentioned this same thing. Everyone kept saying that all of these improvements were for us, and it was clear from the decor that these improvements were for the Dolphins and outside ventures only. We're just tenants. I still want our own stadium in the future, but no need to cry over spilled milk in the process anymore. This is what it is.

What is astonishing is that this stadium was never an open roof dome when it was first built. Its literally a sauna there. This renovation is going to be amazing!! Between this and the IPF we will start to get more and more of the elite recruits. This finally puts us on par with the top schools in the country. I think the game day atmosphere is going to be phenomenal.

That was the original plan by the design team. When Joe Robbie could not come up with the financing to complete the project, with a dome, the revised alternative was to finish the construction minus a dome. That is why there was no ventilation in that place. There was not supposed to be outside air, just A/C.

You make valid points about both stadiums. I was 17 years old at that game and am still traumatized about it. Stadium ran out of water and I had no choice but to drink Diet Coke to hydrate. I was sitting in the West Endzone and did not feel any breeze. That being said, if we have to be in that ****** SLS at least we will be in the shade.

Looking like it's coming along. I do not envy the workers that have to be on the roof trying to get this thing finished. Hope the squeeze Dolphins ownership for 1.5X or 2X pay.

Stephen Ross is paying a hefty tab to get all this work done as fast as it's getting done. I think a lot of people get nervous when they see the amount of work that needs to be done and say "It'll never get finished in time". People are too used to dealing with government construction contracts where they take their sweet time because they're getting paid the same either way. A private contractor will work as fast and as many hours as you're willing to pay for. There's a reason why a massive undertaking like this project can get done in a few months but it takes 6 years to repair a lane on I-95.

This is 100% totally untrue and laughable for your lack of knowledge.
