Picked by every Preseason Poll and Publication

Shows how ignorant these publications are and how little they know. They get it wrong a lot of the time with a lot of teams. ****, Wisconsin was a Top 5 squad to start the year and picked to win their division. Nope. LSU was also picked No. 25 to start the year and not expected to do much. They got it done as Burrow was the x-factor.

Conversely, Miami's x-factor was also quarterback-related (as well as offensive line) and both fell flat.

The Canes knew what they had and didn't have in Malik Rosier by the end of last year. Despite both N'Kosi Perry and Cade Weldon redshirting in 2017 to learn the system—neither took the job seriously and left UM in a lurch.

The fact that neither Perry or Weldon did enough work to beat out Rosier in spring—that was when you knew this season was doomed. Had EITHER OF THEM gotten their s**t together and won that starting job, you're looking at a 10-2 or at worst, a 9-3 regular season this year.

Instead, both got suspended, both screwed off and it wasn't until mid-November that you're hearing about Perry watching more film, studying the playbook and taking things seriously—which showed against Virginia Tech and even Pittsburgh.

Miami has always gone as far as its quarterback takes them—and the Canes haven't hard a true quarterback since Ken Dorsey left town.

Find a quarterback and things will improve.

Find a HC, preferably with a 21st century playbook, and things will improve even more.
